Huge thank you to the wonderful children of Beyond the Box School for their lovely visit to Ocean Acres and for the sweetest thank you video they shared with us. 💛
Our dogs, cats and yes even the turtles (who were clearly a big hit!) loved the company. Time with animals is such a powerful way for kids to build confidence, empathy and calm.

Trigger warning: overwhelming kindness + a miraculous recovery.
**Jude’s journey is one we’ll never forget.
He lay by the side of the road for up to 48 hours after a hit-and-run, unable to move, until a single Facebook post set everything in motion. From there, it took a chain of people who refused to look away to get him to Central Vet fighting through those first fragile hours and days.
And then came another miracle: Lynn stepped forward with the specialised foster care he desperately needed. With Ramon by her side, she gave Jude months of twice daily physio, laser therapy, rehab, and love… and most importantly, a forever home.
The beautiful video they created shares Jude’s six-month journey in a way words alone never could.
A sweet dog who shouldn’t have made it.
A community who wouldn’t give up.
And a life rebuilt piece by piece.
