Full house on the tie ups, amazing to have this dry area after a casual 64mls of rain. Arena freshly graded and drained beautifully. Rides out today to make the most of the puddles for some water exposure / training and utilise our local sandy tracks while things dry up.

This might make it a little more obvious, and thanks everyone for playing along ! I think Paige was the closest with her “Merry Go Round” guess closely followed by Steph’s “Jenny Craig Paddock”.

Still a little way away from being in operation, and absolutely looking forward to utilising this horse walker for building fitness slowly and in a low impact way.

Toying with the idea of offering exercise packages for those heading off on holidays or bringing horses back into work, where you just want fitness on the horses but not training or any higher impact activities. I’ll do a little post once it’s up and running but feel free to reach out if this is something that might be of interest, especially over the Christmas holidays etc.

There are many ways to be a great horse person, and none of them include shaming another horse person.

The best trainers I’ve met have one thing in common… they’re too busy training horses to spend their time tearing down everyone else.

Horses are incredibly individual. What helps one horse may not be the best approach for another. Good horsemen understand that. They keep learning, stay humble, and aren’t afraid to admit that someone else might have an idea worth listening to.

If someone has to convince you they’re the only ethical trainer by attacking every other trainer or method, I’d encourage you to ask yourself why.

Confidence doesn’t need to be loud. Skill doesn’t need to be defensive. Results speak for themselves.

The horse world would be a much better place if we spent less time trying to prove everyone else wrong and more time proving ourselves right through the horses we produce.

I don’t expect everyone to train exactly like I do. In fact, I hope they don’t. Different disciplines, different horses, and different goals require different approaches.

But I do believe we should all be able to respect one another enough to recognize that there is rarely just one “correct” way.

The trainers who impress me most aren’t the ones shouting the loudest. They’re the ones quietly showing up every day, putting in the work, staying open-minded, and letting their horses do the talking.

Another beautiful saddle fresh off the bench from Peter Brophy, Dayboro QLD.
This is the third saddle we have in rotation made by Peter.
When we are relying on gear to go on so many different horses per day, all shapes sizes and stages of training, it makes sense to invest in quality that fits, lasts, and works.
