JBH Rural - Produce JBH Rural is a locally owned and operated store that caters to your rural produce needs. JBH Rural is a locally owned and operated Rural Produce store.

Our goal is to give you the most professional, informative, and friendly service. We stock all your produce needs as well as much more. Fencing materials, gardening supplies, livestock feed, animal health products, pesticides and herbicides, rodent control, firewood, cement and premixes are just some of what we stock. Call in and talk to Gary or Jamie, who between them have over 80 years experience in rural industries. They will be happy to help you with whatever they can.

Hows this for a carpet of grass , pasture improvement on steroids , this is actually a mixed species planting , Reclaimer Rhodes , Gatton Panic , Caatinga Stylo , Clover , and some Millet and Blue grass from QAS Seeds , planted only a short time ago into lightly worked but good soil with some chicken manure …. We are loving being able to see the outcomes of peoples plantings , QAS Seeds are all seed tested and seed testing can be viewed before purchase , ask us about Oats and Wheat for the up coming season

If you have been wondering what all the fuss is about regarding “Summer Cover Crops” well here is a great example of all that fuss , A customer of JBH Rural was needing some help with an area that had been impacted with die back , broadleaf weeds amongst other issues , We created a blend for their soil and area using Buckwheat as the quick growing cover to create a beautiful environment for the Lucerne , Glycine , Reclaimer Rhodes and Gatton Panic to germinate and thrive without being impacted by the hot dry days we have been experiencing , the results speak for themselves , you can see in the photos a beautiful blend of multispecies plantings starting to flourish under the shelter of the Buckwheat , Buckwheat can be used in hay , is highly nutritious for grazing cattle and when the other species become established then the Buckwheat numbers will reduce , This pasture blend will be so versatile , it can be used for hay , grazing and mulched to provide a lovely soil cover to hold moisture for longer , and by using a multi species blend the soil will become an active life force , Thankyou to our customer for your support and allowing us to share your photos , great outcome so far 😊

Hi everyone , As we kick off into the new “Year of the Horse” , meaning strength and endurance even when times get tough , We want to start the year off with a fabulous afternoon of Intro and information , We have Andrew and Katie Zerner from Knowledge to Practice coming to JBH Rural Yarraman at 12.30 on the 24th of January , This will be a great afternoon introducing you to them and gaining some inciteful information , this is a free afternoon so please register your interest and book a spot as they are very limited , please let us know if you are coming along by notifying through this page or directly to the JBH Rural store , this afternoon will be suited to ANYONE interested / starting out or farming forever , so please come along , there will be snacks and drinks provided , just bring a chair and a note pad / pen … PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT
