The most beautiful things in life… cats, cats and more cats. 😺❤️

This one is for all my fellow cat people out there. 🐾

After the wet weekend we’ve had here in Bass Coast, Mia has the right idea... Find a cosy spot by the window and watch the rainy world go by. 🌧️😺

Happy Meownday from Mia and me! 🐾

Feeding time with the King Parrots..

A few people have asked online how the cats manage to stay so calm together. The simple answer is that I don’t rush them 😺...and I don’t expect every cat to become best friends.

When a guest first arrives, they begin in a private space of their own, with familiar bedding or a favourite toy from home whenever possible. This gives them time to take in the new sounds, smells and surroundings while feeling safe.🏡💛🌿

When they’re ready, they can choose to explore the "Catio" at their own pace. Their private space remains there whenever they want some quiet time, a familiar bed or a little distance from the other guests.

Very occasionally, a cat may give a little hiss or warning to communicate that they need more room. The other cats will usually understand the message and give them their space, it’s simply part of how cats set boundaries with one another.

With plenty of places to rest, room to step away and the quiet country environment, most guests soon find the spot and routine that suits them.

Some are confident explorers, while others prefer to watch for a while first. Which one sounds most like your cat? 🐾

Some guests understand holiday mode straight away… 😺☀️

A sunny spot, a comfortable place to stretch out and absolutely nowhere else they need to be.

A peaceful little moment at Puss Inn Bass in Woolamai. 🐾

The catio is where so many little personalities begin to show. When they’re ready, some explore every level, some find a quiet spot to watch the world go by, and others are always pleased when I come in to say hello.

Just a few favourite moments collected over time here at Puss Inn Bass in Woolamai. 🐾

People sometimes ask what makes Puss Inn Bass a boutique cattery.

For me, it means deliberately keeping guest numbers smaller. This gives me the time to notice the little things...who enjoys company, who prefers a quiet space, who needs some extra reassurance and who is ready to come out and explore.

No two cats settle in or spend their stay in quite the same way. By keeping things more personal, I can adapt my care to each cat’s personality, routine and individual needs.

It’s about providing more than a comfortable place to stay. I want every guest to receive genuine care, attention and plenty of kindness while their family is away. ❤️

If you’re planning some time away and would like to know more about staying at Puss Inn Bass, please feel welcome to send me a message. 🐾

Cats may not pack a suitcase, but they certainly bring their personalities on holiday. 😺

It usually doesn’t take long before they make their preferences very clear: where they like to relax, how much exploring needs to be done and whether everything is meeting their very high standards.

Getting to know these funny little habits is one of the loveliest parts of having them stay with me.

So, be honest… what kind of holiday guest would your cat be? 🐾

If you’re planning a few days away, a longer holiday or time with family over the coming months, I currently have availability at Puss Inn Bass. 🐾

I deliberately keep guest numbers manageable so I have time to get to know each cat, understand their personality and routine, and give them the individual attention they need.

I also love sending photos and little video updates, so you can see how your cat is getting on while you’re away.

Morning rounds at Puss Inn Bass always come with a few little hellos. 😺

Some guests come straight over to see me, some like to follow along, and others are quite happy to say hello from their favourite comfortable spot.

Such a lovely little group staying with me at my boutique cattery here in Woolamai this week. ❤️🐾
