One of the most over requested things dog groomers hear is “make sure you cut the nails as short as you can” or “did you cut the nails they’re still long” and while yes it’s apart of every service and we cut them as short as they physically can go, there’s ways you can do your part at home between grooms to help the nails recede naturally without us having to cut into blood vessels trying to get them short. Here’s a fantastic scratch board design you can buy or if you’re a handy person - build yourself!!

There is a door located in the area where the sausage dog is scratching and inside is treats 🦴 the idea is that the dog paws at the door which is covered in a sandpaper texture which files the nail down simultaneously while the dog retrieves the goodies hidden inside. Just a little informational post as a groomer with an autoimmune disease myself, it’s important to understand what could be happening with your pet if you notice any changes in them that might be listed below. It’s always important to raise any changes & concerns with your veterinarian for proper diagnosis & treatment should you suspect any underlying health problems with your pets.

I’m in no way qualified to make any assessments, i just want to share things to look out for to ensure your pets live a long and happy life. From one autoimmune disease sufferer, early intervention is critical to preventing irreparable damage 🩺🩻🧑‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🐕🐾🦴

Hello all
Last night we made the terribly difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog Boss, and we are beyond heartbroken. I would appreciate your cooperation in giving me space and time to grieve the losses our family has had in the last 14 months.

The loss of another beloved pet and our final dog is felt throughout our home and it is a lonely time for us. Boss was a pillar of happiness here, an abundance of tail wags and kisses, love and loyalty and his absence cuts deep as the 3rd death in our home in the last 14 months.

Rest in Peace bossy boy, thank you for all of the memories & even the stinky farts. ❤️‍🩹💔

I have been abit quiet as my dog Boss is unwell and we fear his time is coming to an end. I understand many of you would like to finalize your appointments or receive an appointment, however I ask that you please allow me the space and time to do so when I can, as I have been juggling my fair share of grief over the last 14 months. F M L 🌧️🌧️ looks like a 💩 week ahead. If your preference is to reschedule I would appreciate letting me know in advance so I can try and get all of the rescheduling done 🙂

If you have a booking with me and want to reschedule I will try my best to get you back in quickly however my schedule is always booked out weeks in advance. For the girls I should be able to adjust with relatively minor inconvenience.
