🌙 Lawsons Moonshine 🌙

We’re pleased to have Lawsons Moonshine standing to the public again for the 2026 breeding season, here at Lawson's Stock Horses.

Moonshine continues to prove himself as a genuine, versatile family horse — from the campdraft arena to the ASH show ring, with his most recent achievement winning the Open Challenge Cattle Work Section at the 2026 ASH Nationals.

He’s a horse we’re proud to have bred, and with his oldest progeny now being started under saddle, we’re pleased to see his athleticism, trainability and temperament carrying through to the next generation.

Winter Sundays are for handling weanlings here 🙌🏼

A few of our 2025 drop have come in for some education, and we are extremely happy with how they are all handling it. We know you’re not supposed to have favourites… but Jimmy might say otherwise with this lot! 😏

We’ll also have a few weanling geldings looking for new homes very soon, so keep an eye on the page for more details! 👀

Lawsons Lex (rego pending)

2021 drop gelding (rising 5)

Lex is a lovely quiet easy going gelding that is easy to do everything with. He's good to shoe, clip, saddle, float, and he comes back in well after a spell.

He was broken in as a 2 year old and has been brought along slowly. Lex has done solid mustering work in Merriwa, has been ridden at home, and at some small local events. He is a lovely, smooth horse to ride with a big heart. He is very cowy and has been started on bison and mechanical cow, and is showing real promise.

He will excel in any discipline, and will make a competitive campdraft, show and challenge horse.

Selling as we simply don't have enough room on the truck.

Lex is by Shadowpark Xr**ed ASH.238180, who is by the great sire Wallabah Excel and out of a Knights Top That mare. Xr**ed is now owned by Bushgrove Performance Horses.

Lex is out of Lawsons Lucy C1-183764. Lucy came 3rd in the ASH National Maturity and is a mare our whole family successfully competed. Her first foal, which we have retained, is now drafting and going very well.

Tonight, our wonderful Jimmy is having his makeover for Endometriosis Australia, and we can’t be more proud.

Brooke & ‘Lawsons Moonshine’ had a fabulous day at the Central West Branch Show today, winning all their classes & the feature time trial! 🐴💨

Full results to come, but Brooke & Dave represented the team and had a great day!
