As the weather warms up, fly numbers rise, and so does the risk of pink eye in cattle. This painful eye infection can spread quickly, and if left untreated, may cause blindness, weight loss, and serious setbacks for your herd.

Here are some simple steps to reduce the risk:
✔ Separate affected cattle from the rest of the herd
✔ Avoid overcrowding in yards and paddocks
✔ Keep dust to a minimum during yarding
✔ Reduce stress by limiting unnecessary handling

🐝 What to do if your pet gets a bee sting

Springtime means more buzzing bees, and sometimes, curious pets get stung. Here’s what to do if it happens to your pet:

✔ Check for swelling, especially around the face or throat
✔ Gently remove the sting if you can see it
✔ Apply a cool compress to ease pain and swelling
✔ Call us straight away if your pet has trouble breathing, vomiting, or severe swelling

Most stings are mild, but some pets can have serious allergic reactions. If you’re unsure, give us a call right away!
