A little of our Sunday!

6 weeks old and what a party they had today to celebrate! All four puppies met their new families in person today. Most of them making the 6-7 hour round trip from the other side of Melbourne!
The pups had their first vet visit yesterday, and the team at Hampden Veterinary Clinic were amazing as always. With vaccinations & microchipping done (and plenty of cuddles from the staff), followed up at home with worming, nail clipping and photos; it’s been a huge couple days for the puppies. I think they will sleep well tonight!

I can't believe we only have 3 more weeks with these gorgeous pups. Having a small litter is nice in many ways, you really get to know the pups well.
They are loving their food and had their first little chew on a chicken wing today whilst in a space of their own.
This will be our last litter for some time, so we are really enjoying the cuddles, enrichment activities and watching them grow.
Last week we focused on calm & soothing music while the pups adjusted to their bigger living quarters (it really does put them to sleep!). This week we will start to turn the volume up on all sorts of sounds; from sirens, to children playing, to thunder storms. We have no doubt that our families will continue this work once the pups go home.
*All pups have homes waiting.
