To say I’m stoked with how this beautiful filly is growing is an understatement. 7 months old today. I cannot wait to see what Cinna’s next lot of bubs look like. Definitely doing this cross again

Well finish to Easter weekend I finally got around to weaning Nevaeh. Eating and drinking well. Just wanted cuddles so getting pics was very hard coz she kept following me. Also excuse the dirt. Had a little rain last night and it was enough for all the horses to be black this morning haha Aurora has handled her first ever weaning like an absolute champion and isn’t even looking for her tonight. She waited at the paddock gate maybe an hr today then went off grazing with her mum Nardia and grandma Makara. Now to let Nevaeh settle into the next chapter and start learning how to be a big horse.

⚠️ Recent Strangles Outbreak – Central Coast, New South Wales ⚠️

Strangles is a highly contagious respiratory disease in horses caused by the bacterium Streptococcus equisubspecies equi. Recent outbreaks have been reported in Central Coast, New South Wales.

It spreads easily through direct contact with infected horses or indirect contactwith contaminated gear, feed, water, or handlers’ clothing.
Horses usually show signs within 3 – 8 days of infection.
Strangles can affect horses of any age and is most common where horses are kept in close contact — such as studs, shows, and agistment centres.

❗️Clinical signs to watch for:❗️
• Fever (39.0 – 40.5 °C)
• Nasal discharge or runny nose
• Cough
• Painful, swollen lymph nodes (especially under the jaw)
• Difficulty swallowing or breathing
• Depression or dullness

🚨 If your horse shows any of these signs, isolate it away from other horses immediately and contact your veterinarian.

Preventing spread:
• Keep sick horses separated
• Practice good hygiene, including frequently washing hands
• Avoid sharing gear, feed bins, or water troughs
• Wash hands, boots, and clothing after handling sick horses
• Quarantine new arrivals for at least 2 weeks

Update: Aurora is doing amazing as a first time mum. I have named her filly Nevaeh who is also doing amazing. Put a coat on for last night as the weather has been bad and icy cold at night. Back off this morning. 🥰💜

Well I am absolutely over the moon to announce ‘finally’ the safe arrival of Aurora & Cinna’s first baby! I haven’t picked a name yet but it needs to be special for this amazing sweetheart.
Silver Grulla Tobiano Filly!!!! I will have to test for frame but she could have that also. Aurora is being an amazing first time mum and loves her little bub so much. I will post more pics once she has unscrunched and out in the paddock. My first 4th generation baby and I couldn’t be prouder 🥰💜🎉
