Hi everyone, just a little update on our beautiful Callie and her little potato gems. 🥔🐾

Today’s appointment went much better, and I’m incredibly relieved to say that for now, our instructions are simply to sit back, relax and let Callie do her thing for the next 3½ weeks until her little babies are ready to make their arrival. 🥹🧡

We’re not quite 100% out of the woods yet, but things are looking much more positive, and after the emotions and uncertainty of the last few days, that is the news I desperately needed to hear.

Thank you so much to every single person who messaged, called, checked in or simply kept Callie and her babies in their thoughts. The amount of love and support we have received has meant more than I can put into words. 🧡💚

For now, Callie is taking her job of growing potato gems very seriously — resting up, eating me out of house and home, and being treated like the absolute queen she is. 👑😂🥔

Now we wait, keep everything crossed and hopefully, in around 3½ weeks, we’ll be welcoming some very special little LuHund potato gems into the world. 🐾🥔

🧡💚 CALLIOPE & PUPPY UPDATE 💚🧡

Yesterday, Callie went in for another check-up to monitor her progesterone levels and, most importantly, check on the development and wellbeing of her little babies.

Unfortunately, the news we received wasn’t what we had hoped for. 💔

We are due to go back on Thursday to reassess everything, discuss the situation in more detail and work through what the best options are moving forward for Callie and her babies.

Right now, our absolute biggest priority is Callie’s health, wellbeing and safety, while also doing everything we possibly can for her little potato gems. 🥔🐾

It’s certainly not the update I was hoping to be sharing, and it has been an incredibly emotional 24 hours. For now, we are taking things one day at a time, following the advice of our veterinary team and making every decision with Callie’s best interests at heart.

There are still a lot of unknowns at the moment, so I’ll share more when I’m ready and when we have a clearer understanding of what the coming days will look like.

For now, please keep our beautiful Callie and her little potato gems in your thoughts. We’re hoping with everything we have for the best possible outcome. 🧡💚🥔🐾

Pinky began her show career in January 2026, but after a handful of shows she made it very clear that the show ring wasn’t for her. Rather than push her, we gave her the time she needed to simply grow up and mature.

In May 2026, we decided to give it another go.

We wouldn’t say she loves the show ring just yet 🤣, but she returned with a whole new level of confidence and maturity. She now understands what I’m asking of her, and every show she continues to improve.

Since returning to the ring in May, Pinky has already earned 32 championship points, and we’re hoping it won’t be too long before she catches up to her brother and sister, who are already Australian Champions.

This little girl never fails to amaze me. She is sassy, opinionated, determined, and always knows exactly what she wants—and when she wants it! She truly has more classic Spitz attitude than most I’ve ever met, and I wouldn’t have her any other way.

We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved so far, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this special girl. 🩷

What a weekend! ✈️🐾❄️

This weekend Maverick and I made the trip across to Adelaide for the SA Winter International, and what a special trip it turned out to be.

Not only did we get to compete at one of Australia’s biggest shows, but we also got to catch up with two very special little Vallhunds from my first litter — Rocky and Savannah. Seeing them in person, happy, healthy and doing so well in the ring was something I’ll never forget.

The results across the three days were simply incredible.

To say I am proud would be an understatement.

Watching Rocky and Savannah continue to mature and succeed under their wonderful owners has been incredibly rewarding. As a breeder, there is nothing quite like seeing puppies from your first litter not only enjoying themselves but also proving their quality in the ring.

A huge congratulations to Royce, Kat and Sam. Thank you for believing in my little breeding program and for loving these dogs as much as I do. 💙💛

And to Maverick — the sire of this litter — thank you for once again showing everyone what a special dog you are. To stand alongside your children and watch them shine was something truly special. 🧡

What can I say… 🥹

Yesterday I received the most amazing news — not one, but two babies from my foundation litter gained their Australian Championship titles at just 7 months and 10 days old.

I honestly cannot explain how honoured and privileged I feel. To have their owners take a chance on me and my new breeding program means more than words can say.

I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to my mentors and biggest supporters, Alexandra Proudfoot and Andy Lawrie. I have learned so much over the past year, and I truly could not have done it without them — especially Alex, who I’m fairly sure I’ve driven crazy more than once. 🤪

These little ones still have such long and exciting careers ahead of them, and I cannot wait to continue being part of their journey.

This weekend’s events kicked off on Friday with the West Coast Dog Sports 4x 100m Sprint Cluster.

Although they haven’t been able to get to as many shows due to the weather, every time she has stepped into the ring she has taken it all in her stride, turning heads and receiving so many lovely comments on her overall conformation and soundness ✨
