We’ve had a huge number of uninjured fledglings brought to the clinic recently. We hope this info helps to decipher those in need and those with L plates on. Thank you to our wonderful caring community, we know you’re doing the best you can 🙏🏻🐥

This time of year many young birds are fledglings — they’ve left the nest on purpose and are learning to fly under the watchful eye of their parents.
🌿 They usually don’t need rescuing.

✔️ If the bird is uninjured, it’s best to leave it right where you found it.
✔️ Parents are often close by, feeding and protecting their youngster.
✔️ You can keep pets inside and give the little one space to practise.

🚫 Only intervene if the bird is injured or in immediate danger — then call your local wildlife rescue.
