I caught up with Ivy last week for another MindDog session. She has hit half way with her training and she is progressing really well. She is also maturing and she is getting much better at ignoring people at the shops and walking without seeking attention. She is a treat lover and people lover and she is such a delight to train 🐾☺️🐶

Max is so cute but he is hard to take a photo of. His humans have been working hard on his lead skills, which is great to see. We continued refining the skills, worked on how to manage distractions and also discussed dog park behaviours. He is socialite and loves the park, to the point where he flat out refuses to leave 😂☺️🐾🐶

I couldn’t decide which pic to put up because both of them were so cute! Keanu has had a big week as unfortunately he was bitten by an off lead dog. Thankfully he is ok and emotionally he has recovered. Today we worked on recall with him and continued working on disengagement around bikes ☺️🐾🐶

And last week finished with this handsome guy. Sunny has improved so much at walking past fences. He disengages and moves past, he will search for treats and he has learnt to ‘look’ at the fences. I have loved catching up with him and it’s great when clients continue their training journey with me 🐾🐶☺️🎓

Forgot to finish my posts from last week. Gorgeous Reggie graduated, he has improved so much. He is much more confident around people, he is still building his confidence around dogs. We had a session and he had a sniff at the dog park and said ‘hi’ through the fence which was really cute 🐾☺️🐶

Today I caught up with the handsome Arlo, he is much better at seeing dogs when out walking. We had a great session going on a walk, working on disengagement and the ‘look’ cue. His goal is to enter the MindDog program once he can move past dogs dogs when on lead ☺️🐾🐶

I had a great catch up with Pippa, Arthur, Ducky and Queenie. Their environment has been set up so they can live in separate areas. This will ensure all the dogs are safe and no fights will occur. The environment consists of two fenced areas, so they can’t see each other and multiple safety gates inside. This will allow the humans to more around the house, but the dogs can’t interact. Unfortunately some dogs just clash and working through ways they can live together but separate is necessary 🐾☺️🐶

I had a great session with gorgeous Alfie today. It’s been a while since we have caught up and his skills have continued to improved when walking on lead and he is much calmer at home. However, he has started barking at random dogs when walking and he wasn’t reading dogs cues at daycare so he is taking a break. He has been doing much better since the break, daycare can be really overwhelming for some dogs so shorter interactions have suited him. We worked through how to greet dogs politely, meet and greets and what to do if he barks when on lead ☺️🐾🐶
