Info about TKC and appointments:
* We are a small one-on-one operation, and as a result only have limited appointment spaces. PLEASE let me know if you need to reschedule your appointment as soon as you can so we can give the space to someone else in need. Please understand if you can't get in as soon as you like. Two months in and we are booked out a week in advance, and we expect that wait to get longer.
* We appreciate and love when you book in advance! This keeps a regular spot reserved for you and your pooch.
* Our prices are non-negotiable. Emma has been a groomer for a very long time and will take extra time, love and care to make sure your dog is happy. We completely understand cost of living, but also need to make a living!
* We do not dematt. Under any circumstances. If you cannot maintain a long hairstyle with daily brushing and combing, please take it short and purchase a lovely little coat for the colder months. Your pup will thank you.
* No call no shows will not be invited back for another appointment.
* We offer online bookings and are more than happy to text with you! We will return phonecalls when able, time is limited and I will not answer the phone when a dog is in my care, for safety reasons. For sanity preserving reasons, we do not look at the phone out of hours lol!
* Fear Free does not suit all spicy dogs. Dogs that have not had their honest behavioural history disclosed will be sent home unfinished and charged full price for the time allotted. A well-aimed surprise bite can end a career.
* Please book the correct service. A full groom is a short neat cut all over. Style grooms are for all teddy cuts, longer cuts etc. The price difference reflects the amount of extra work. If you book a full groom and want a teddy or breed cut, your price will be adjusted on the day. This is non-negotiable. "Just a trim" generally requires a lot more work than a shave down.
* We use high quality shampoo, conditioner and grooming products and equipment for all the pups in our care. Please let us know if you or your pup are sensitive to product or fragrances. You may bring your own shampoo if you prefer, but we provide sensitive skin products with no extra fees. We do not have Malaseb on site and will only use it if the owner provides it prescribed by a veterinarian.
* We feed treats so plese let us know if your pup is dieting, has allergies or pancreas issues!
* Recently we have had issues with clients running late for appointments - we run a tight ship and need you to show up on time. Please respect the schedule. If you and your pup are going to be late, you must notify us as soon as possible. Clients that are 15 minutes late will be marked down as a no call no show.
* We do not open on Saturday and our Sunday hours are very limited. If you are able to book on a weekday, this frees up those precious spots for people who can only do the weekend, which they appreciate!
* Please respect our size limits! Message if you aren't sure if your dog is able to be serviced - we will waive the size limits for rescue Greyhounds and puppies that are attending our salon regularly as they grow.
* We currently have one Pomeranian and zero Papillon and Cavalier clients, and that is a tragedy. Manifesting so I don't need to adopt another Papillon to fill my heart.
Happily, 99% of our customers are perfect and the majority of our rules are 'just in case'. We love and appreciate you all!
