You don’t need more time — just support that fits into your life.

This online course is grounded in the same understanding-first approach I use in person —
because behaviour change starts with knowing why.

Flexible. Practical. Real-life friendly.

If your puppy feels part shark lately… you’re not imagining it 🦈

Hands, arms, clothes, shoes — everything seems to be fair game.

It can feel a bit relentless, especially when it goes from cute to full-on in about 2 seconds.

What’s actually going on isn’t bad behaviour… it’s a puppy still figuring out how to handle excitement.

Most puppies don’t have a “dimmer switch” yet — they go from calm to chaos very quickly, and biting is often what falls out the other side.

The good news is, this is something you can teach.

And it’s not just for puppies either. If you’ve got an older dog who still gets a bit mouthy when they’re over the top, the same ideas apply.

I’ve broken it all down in this week’s blog, including what actually helps (and what tends to make it worse).

When dogs are constantly pushed into situations they can’t handle yet, they don’t build confidence — they build stress.

Real resilience grows when dogs experience success.

That might look like noticing a trigger from a safe distance and staying calm, choosing to look back at their owner instead of reacting, or managing a new situation without becoming overwhelmed.

Each successful moment teaches the brain something important: “I can handle this.”

Over time those small wins start to add up, and the dog becomes more capable of coping with bigger challenges.

Confidence is built step by step — not by pushing dogs through situations they aren’t ready for.

What’s one small success your dog has had recently?

Your dog doesn’t need someone else. They need you, just as you are — with the right support.

When you understand how dogs think, feel, and learn, you stop relying on quick fixes and start building real trust. That’s when behaviour changes naturally.

I’ve completely rewritten and revamped my free ebook… this version reflects the way I actually work with dogs 🐾

Introducing:

YOUR DOG IS NOT BROKEN
An SOS for overwhelmed dogs and their humans

This isn’t a “quick fixes” or “7 hacks” kind of ebook.

It’s about understanding the why behind behaviour, creating more calm in everyday life, and supporting dogs in ways that actually make sense for their nervous system.

Inside, I cover:
🐶 Understanding behaviour
🐶 Calmness and rest
🐶 Enrichment and meeting your dog’s needs
🐶 Food, environment, and stress
🐶 Why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to training

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, frustrated, or like you’re failing your dog… this ebook is for you.

I’m genuinely so excited about this one and can’t wait to hear what you think 🤍

You can download it free here: 👉 https://www.busypawz.com.au/your-dog-is-not-broken

Vaccinations, titre testing, flea treatments… it can all feel a bit overwhelming.

Everyone has an opinion, and most dog owners are just trying to do the right thing.

This is actually one of my most read blogs and I think it’s because it doesn’t tell you what to do… it just helps you understand your options.

Because when it comes to your dog’s health, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.

This blog replay walks through:
• core vs non-core vaccines
• what titre testing actually is
• how to think about flea & tick treatments
• and the questions you can start asking

It’s about feeling more confident, informed, and able to advocate for your dog.

If this is something you’ve ever felt unsure about, this one is definitely worth a read.

One of the easiest ways to build skills with your dog is through simple games.

Games give dogs a safe way to practise thinking, making choices, and regulating their excitement. Instead of just being told what to do, they learn how to solve problems and respond to cues in a way that feels rewarding.

Over time those little games start to shape everyday behaviour. Focus improves. Recall gets faster. Dogs begin to settle more easily because their brains have had a chance to work.

Training doesn’t always have to look serious or structured. Sometimes the most powerful lessons happen when dogs are simply playing and learning at the same time.

What’s your dog’s favourite game?
