Beagles have one of the best noses in the dog world — and there's a very good reason yours sometimes appears to lose all ability to hear you the second that nose hits the ground. 😂

Originally bred as scent hounds, following a trail isn't just something Beagles enjoy... it's pretty much in their DNA.

Sometimes we ask our dogs to do something they're simply not ready for.

It's not because they're stubborn or ignoring us. Sometimes the environment is just asking too much of them. There are too many distractions, too much excitement or too much pressure to think clearly. One of the most powerful things we can do is set our dogs up to succeed. When we adjust the environment to match where they're at, learning becomes so much easier.

💤 Is your dog naughty... or just sleepy?

Stop taking yourself so seriously.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in training, routines and wanting our dogs to make the "right" choices that we forget to simply let them be dogs.

Let them be silly. Let them play. Let them roll in the grass, zoom around the backyard, carry the ridiculous stick and do things simply because they're fun.

Not every moment needs to be productive. Sometimes our dogs just need the freedom to enjoy being dogs.

🤎 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗨𝗦...

Not everything has to be perfect. Not every mistake needs fixing and not every decision needs quite as much overthinking as we sometimes give it.

Maybe this week we could all borrow a little Pug energy and loosen our grip a bit.
