Recently, I’ve been reminded how important honesty is in equine care.
When dental work is said to have been done but hasn’t, it can compromise a horse’s health and delay necessary treatment. These situations are not only harmful to the animal, but also damaging to small businesses built on trust and reputation.
If I recommend more frequent dental work for your horse, it’s always for a valid reason — every horse is different, and some require closer monitoring to stay comfortable and healthy.
It’s also important to understand that routine maintenance cases are very different from horses that have not received regular care. Horses with overdue dental work often require significantly more time, care, and correction, which is reflected in pricing.
I take pride in providing honest, professional care and will always advocate for the wellbeing of the horse first.
