This whole process started with you — our wonderful guests and clients. You nominated us and gave our business the opportunity to be part of something pretty special. ❤️

From there, we had to put together an application answering a whole lot of questions, which the judging panel then used to narrow the field down to the finalists. ⌨️

And now… we’ve made it to the next stage! 🎉

As finalists, we’ll head into an interview with a panel of four judges, who will ultimately decide the winner of each category. We’re absolutely thrilled to be finalists in the New Business Award. 💛

The standard of applications this year is exceptionally high — so much so that the announcement of the finalists was delayed while the judges worked through the field.😳
So, to have made the cut is quite an achievement in itself.

Being a purpose-built boutique facility has allowed us to design the landscape specifically with our guests in mind.

🌿 Bird-attracting plants have been strategically planted so our guests have front-row seats to the daily bird activity.
💦 Multiple fresh bird baths are positioned front and centre, providing plenty of entertainment throughout the day.
🦘 And the neighbouring farmland means the occasional wallaby may wander by for a special dawn or dusk appearance.

A little glimpse into Dinkum’s morning routine with us ☀️🐾

At 18 years young, Dinkum is currently our oldest guest — although she certainly doesn’t look a day over 6!😻
…
Her mornings begin with a peaceful gaze out the window, keeping an eye on the birds. Then, of course, service arrives… 🛎️
Blankets and cushions are plumped, her litter tray is refreshed, and her daily medication is prepared with a special licky treat (because there’s no struggling with medication here!). 💊😋
After a little bite of breakfast comes a refreshing morning brush, followed by plenty of cuddles and adoration — exactly as this queen deserves. 👑💕

For our senior guests, these small routines matter. Consistency, comfort and close observation allow us to care for each cat according to their individual needs, while giving them the time and space to settle into their surroundings.

We get some stunning sunsets around here, and sharing these evenings with our guests is one of our favourite parts of what we do.

This evening, Billy, Wolfie and Hoodie were joined by three butcher birds stopping by for a drink at the water fountain. Billy and Wolfie were completely captivated by their every move, while Hoodie—the wise patriarch of the trio 👑—was perfectly content to enjoy his dinner and the evening’s entertainment.

We managed to catch a bit of little Louis’ morning zoomies session… he’s just too adorable! 🥹✨

And yes… this really was the song playing while he was racing around! 😹🎶 Between the beautiful gardens, wildlife, ABC Radio, and of course our gorgeous guests, there’s never a shortage of inspiration here.

Our afternoons have been full of fun lately! 🐾 ☀️

We rotate toys throughout each guest’s stay and also choose toys we think they’ll love based on what we know about their personality. One toy that’s become an undeniable favourite is this tiered ball track!

Every cat has their own unique way of playing with it. Some bat the balls around, some roll around and play with it upside down, others pounce with enthusiasm, or poke curious paws through the middle to see what happens.

Ollie has his own signature style. He starts with a two-player game of batting the balls back and forth with us... until the excitement takes over! Then it’s all paws on deck as he wraps both front paws around the toy and takes the game into his own hands. 💛

Winter seems to have started, and much like for us humans (or how we would like it to be) it’s the perfect time to snuggle in or lay in the sun and stretch out! Our holidaying guests certainly know how to relax at any point in the year 💤 ☀️

Beautiful Sasha, with a whimsical green rug that perfectly matches his gorgeous emerald eyes that we could just stare into forever! 💚 We absolutely didn’t plan to coordinate the décor with the cat, but we can’t deny it’s a pretty purrfect match! ✨.
We love making all of our holiday rooms cosy all year round, but there’s something especially wholesome about wintertime. Out come the soft rugs, snuggly blankets, and plush beds, creating the perfect space for our guests to curl up, relax, and feel completely at home. 🐾❄️
