August has been busy with a weekend at Hexham for the last of Great South Coast Eventing Association series. Thanks to all for running the event was a lot of fun and enjoyed xcountry training,showjumping rounds and Sunday competition Dressage and Combined Training - with DJ picking up a minor place in his dressage. Hunter stayed in the ring for his first time in dressage arena - that’s always a bonus.
Last weekend off for some lessons with Asha Warnock.
Came home Sunday via GVHTA Derby Day Avenal and happy with both Fred and Hunter.

Hunter from fluff ball to looking ready for a little 65cm eventing start soon. Super chilled with clippers and to date he’s been the most uncomplicated horse we’ve owned. Good job Kayla.

We have been a bit quiet on the horse front. Rest assured we have been plenty busy in the background.

Kayla has had the opportunity to spend the past few events grooming for Asha Warnock. So much has been learnt, Asha has been a wealth of knowledge. Plenty to take onboard and put into my own team.

Today we took a truck load to the Caramut showjumping training day. All horse had a great day out. These days are alway a great experience for the horses. A thanks must go to Caramut riding club for hosting the training days.
We even had the newest member on the truck for his first outing. Heidi’s pony Roy had his first trip on the truck, proving to be the best pony doing everything we asked of him, what an exciting future for him and Heids.

Fred was sent to Asha Warnock Equestrian for Bootcamp and to work out some issues we couldn't put our finger on. Asha with many more years experience in the saddle than Kayla quickly worked through some areas. The horse we have at home is now using his back end and working lighter off the ground. Kayla also had some lessons and has more tools in her toolbox. Thankyou Asha we are all grateful for your experience and desire to work with Kayla and horses. Wishing Asha a wonderful Melbourne International Horse Trials this coming June long weekend.

CSU Ceilidh “Sanjay” by our Celtic Basil/TB Mare 2012 drop.
Been a little while between catchups but very happy to hear what this horse with mother daughter combination have been up to - well done to you both. Sanjay has been in the Tas Showjumping Squad and now Showjumping and winning his first 1.10. Jumping Horse of Year Junior and Under 1.05. Mum also shares the ride for dressage and this year was awarded State Unofficial Novice Horse of Year. Congratulations 👏 and looking forward to watching you at PC Nationals in Oct.
