You may have heard a whisper about something new on the horizon for the Goulburn Valley cowhorse community

We would like to sincerely thank Kat McLeod for establishing a strong foundation through her NVL Cowhorse Shows over the past few years. Her dedication and passion have played a key role in boosting the profile of the sport here in Victoria—an achievement we’re incredibly grateful for.

Looking ahead, we’re pleased to announce the formation of the Goulburn Valley Cowhorse Association, with a new leadership team and a home base at Tatura Park.

While we had originally planned to hold our first show in June 2025, logistical challenges mean we’ll now be aiming for an exciting launch in 2026. We’re working hard to lock in dates and are looking forward to offering all your favourite classes—along with a few exciting new additions.

Stay tuned for further updates in the coming weeks. In the meantime, keep the shiny side up, and we look forward to seeing you down the horse show road!

Where do I start….

Thanks to our cattle donors for the weekend in Kalamunda Feedlot and Craden farms and Mick Kay for transport

Than you to Karla Lieschke who manned the in gate all weekend, as well as videoing people’s runs for them, holding hats & jackets and that friendly face on your way in and out of the arena

Judge appreciation post
We’d like to thank Mr Todd Hensley for stepping in to judge this weekends show but not only did he judge, doing a bloody awesome job of it to, he was there setting up and pulling down panels so big thank you to Todd 👏👏👏👏
