This horse may be familiar to some. This is Wannaroo Lawson. I trained him at a young age and competed him for a bit but decided it was time to move him on late last year. I have a lot of love for this horse but sadly I wasn’t riding him. He’s found a lovely home with Pam, who took him to Kilcoy Stockmans challenge and competed in the beginner class. Lawson and Pam placed first in cattle work, first in the utility, and 3rd in the dry. Overall they received third for the beginner class. It warms my heart seeing how well he is going.

After losing my favourite camp horse last year I’ve devoted my time to getting some young ones up and going to start drafting. On Friday Wannaroo Lovisa had her first start and she certainly made quite an impression, scoring an 83 and winning the cash cow worth $50 sponsored by Woodrow Contracting - Ben and Bonnie.

A huge thankyou to Manumbar Campdraft Committee for running an amazing event and to all the cattle donors and sponsors, without you I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this.

Also a special mention to my parents who have helped me become the horse woman I am today.
