A small luxury and very unique boarding and daycare facility, situated in Tanawha on the Sunshine Coast. We provide luxury accommodation for a limited number of small dogs and cats. Due to the boutique facilities and the professional quality care we provide we ensure your beloved FurKid gets a lot of attention. May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💛

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quieter on socials lately… the truth is, I’ve needed to take a small step back.

I often get told I have the best job in the world - and in so many ways, I truly do. But a few weeks ago, “the best job in the world” almost took my life.

Running a business can look beautiful from the outside, but behind the scenes it can also be incredibly heavy. Lately, the world feels louder, people feel angrier, and sometimes as a business owner, you wear the brunt of that.

This is just a gentle reminder to treat people with kindness. You never really know what someone is carrying behind closed doors.

And to everyone quietly struggling right now - please know you’re not alone 💛

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there 💕

And however that may look for you — whether you’re a human mum, dog mum, cat mum, work mum, aunty, sister, or someone who simply nurtures and cares for others — we are all mums in our own unique way, and every journey is valid.

It’s also important to recognise that not all mums are mums by blood. Sometimes we create our own family, and those connections are just as real, meaningful, and special 🤍

We feel so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by beautiful women and role models here at FurKids Retreat — women who not only love and care for every guest as if they were their own, but who also treat each other like family… and love River like she’s one of their own too.

This little community we’ve built together is something really special, and we’re endlessly grateful for it 🐾
