Times are getting tough and drought conditions are hitting hard. Feed is running out and difficult decisions are having to be made.

At DD Performance Horses, we understand that sometimes a good horse just needs the right opportunity, more miles, or a bit of a tune up before finding their next home.

With Banjo, Pickles and the first mob of QH weanlings and yearlings all sold, we are now looking for more horses to come in for sale.

We are currently taking:

• Horses needing miles and exposure
• Sale preparation horses

We have a list of clients looking for their next best friend, wether it’s a welshy the kids have outgrown, a seasoned show horse or an allrounder looking for a new paddock let us help you match them to their new forever home.

Pickles is looking for his forever home!

Pickles is a 4-year-old, 17hh bay Standardbred gelding. During his time at DD Performance Horses, he has been exposed to a wide variety of environments and experiences to set him up as a versatile and reliable riding horse.

He has done hours of flatwork and is ridden out daily through some fairly steep and challenging country. Pickles is confident both in group rides and out on his own, and has been ridden by multiple riders of varying experience levels. He has a big, ground-covering stride, is sure-footed, and remains calm and level-headed out on the trails.

Pickles has also been used to move cattle through rocky, steep terrain. Having never been on the track, he has developed a naturally balanced and comfortable canter and can travel forward when asked, yet is just as happy to plod along all day without fuss.

He is easy to catch, rug, wash, float, and picks up all four feet without issue.

Pickles has come a long way over the past couple of months and is now ready to go on and make someone a fantastic all-rounder. Whether you’re after a reliable trail horse, a mount to take out cross country, or even a prospect for eventing, hacking, or working equitation, Pickles has the size, presence, and temperament to excel.
