Calmsley Hill City Farm is an interactive farm, close to the heart of Sydney just off the M7 at Elizabeth Drive, a place where children and adults can enjoy a variety of exciting shows and exhibits. Get up close to a range of native and farmyard animals, at the farm you can feed the nursery animals and even take a tractor ride thought some of our 500 acres of Farmland. Bring your own picnic lunch,

or use our free electric BBQ’s to cook your own lunch while you enjoy our beautiful grounds. We have special packages to cater for Children’s birthday parties and special events. From September till April the farm offers camping at the farm on selected days, numbers are limited so booking early is recommended, see the website for more information. Parking is excellent and there is wheelchair access throughout the farm and facilities for people with special needs.

Time for some fun facts about Water Buffalo (like our very own Tina pictured here):

- They can hold their breath underwater for up to five minutes
- Their milk can be used to make mozzarella cheese (Buffalo Pizza anyone?)
- They can live up to 40 years
- Rather than mooing like a cow, they make a sound like a duck quacking
- They use mud to keep cool (just like pigs)

If you're enjoying a tractor ride at the farm, look out for Tina in the paddock (she often enjoys a dip in the dam too!)

After much heated discussion over the staff room table, our farmers have decided on a winner..well, three actually!

Farmer Noah likes to tell everyone he's in the business of sheep and cattle farming at Calmsley Hill, but City Farm staff know the real deal...

He's actually a top notch pumpkin farmer!

This pumpkin patch was grown to feed our pigs, poultry, birds and wombat, and to improve soil health, but let's be honest, theres a good chance some of the farmers will be taking a few home.

For your chance to win a family pass (and to inspire our budding farm chefs) post your favourite pumpkin recipe below for us to taste test and vote on.

If you're struggling for ideas for the second week of school holidays, then hop along to the farm for a fun day out in the great outdoors.

We have plenty of interactive shows to entertain the little ones, and our cafe serves amazing food, snacks and coffee all day. We'll be open every day from 9am - 4pm (with last entry at 3pm).
