Account 4545-02937 Operating since 2011, we are a co-operative of volunteer foster carers and passionate animal advocates, working together to achieve our shared vision. We have a no-kill philosophy, with a focus on finding animals their forever homes through our Foster to Adopt Program. This program is key to our organisation’s success, as it rehabilitates our animals in preparation for their new life. We focus on:
- reducing the number of unwanted and abandoned animals through rehoming
community education
- desexing initiatives, and
- liaising with other welfare organisations

We do this with a direct purpose, which is working towards the introduction of new legislation to give greater protection to all animals. This also serves to provide further direction for other registered rescue organisations. Maggie’s Rescue cares for all our animals through our amazing network of foster carers. They provide a safe and nurturing home for animals in need until their forever home is found.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER CARERS NEEDED – TWO SENIOR DOGS HAVE UNTIL SATURDAY 🚨

We desperately need foster homes for two beautiful senior dogs – a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 13-year-old Pug x Jack Russell.

Following the devastating Hawkesbury Pound fire, these dogs had nowhere to go. Heartbreakingly, they were taken to a local vet to be euthanised, but thankfully the vet stepped in and gave them a little more time while we search for rescue and foster placements.

❤️ BUT WE ONLY HAVE UNTIL SATURDAY TO FIND THEM SAFETY.

🐾 MEET THE DOGS:

- German Shepherd – 9 years old
- Pug x Jack Russell – 13 years old

Both are friendly but severely overweight, so they’ll need some extra care, patience and support as they settle into their new homes.

🏡 WE URGENTLY NEED FOSTER CARERS WHO CAN:

- Provide a safe, secure, fully fenced property.
- Offer a calm, loving environment.
- Have the time and patience to help them settle.
- Understand the extra needs of senior dogs.

Ideally, we’d love separate foster homes, but we’d also welcome someone who can take both.

Meet Sangria! Our gorgeous greyhound girl with a heart of gold and a serious talent for snoozing. ❤️

Sweet, gentle and wonderfully well-mannered, Sangria is the kind of girl who makes herself right at home (preferably on a comfy couch!).

What’s her vibe? A little park adventure, a few zoomies, some doggy socialising… followed by a solid afternoon nap. She's got the balance of fun and lazy down to an art!

Her dream home? A loving family who'll include her in everyday life, shower her with affection and provide a comfy spot indoors. A secure backyard for sniffing and sunbathing would be a bonus!

Kids? Absolutely! She's gentle and friendly with children of all ages. As always, supervision and respectful interactions are important.

Other pets? She's a social butterfly with dogs of all shapes and sizes and would love a canine buddy. Cats? Let's just say they're not her cup of tea! 😹

This gorgeous girl is a total lovebug. She's affectionate, super soppy and happiest wherever her humans are. Expect plenty of cuddles, couch snuggles and a very enthusiastic little shadow who wants in on EVERYTHING.

She's got energy to burn and loves long walks, outdoor adventures and exploring new places. An active lifestyle? She's in! But once the adventures are done, she's more than happy to clock off and become a full-time couch potato (preferably on top of you).

Her ideal home 🏡
Mittens would love a family who includes her in everyday life. Someone home often, working from home or with flexible hours would be ideal, as she's a girl who loves her people and isn't keen on long periods alone.

What about kids? 👧🧒
She's very friendly and loves attention. She hasn't been specifically tested with young children, so dog-savvy kids who understand respectful interactions would be best.

Big yes! Mittens loves other dogs and would likely enjoy a playful canine sibling to share her adventures with. Cat compatibility is currently unknown.

Granola takes her role as Head of Robovac Surveillance VERY seriously. 👀🤖

She spends her days closely monitoring the robot vacuum, presumably gathering intelligence for when the robot uprising finally begins. And honestly, I think she’s planning to be on the right side of history. 😂

But beneath that suspicious little face is just a young dog who needs what every girl deserves: a stable home, a bit of routine, and a meaningful job to keep her busy.

Some dogs herd sheep. Some dogs fetch balls. Granola protects the household from rogue household appliances.

She’s got a career path, people. 🫡

All she needs now is a family to give her a forever home, a job to do (preferably one that doesn’t involve overthrowing humanity), and someone to remind her that the robovac is not, in fact, plotting against her.
