Arriving for a home vet visit today, and I’m greeted by these two Tonkinese.. They’re just too sweet.. double loafing in their cat basket.

Clinics can add to patient stress, and for some situations recovery may be faster at home.
Particularly some cats really don't do well in hospital, and this can be a major factor in people avoiding seeking care for an elderly cat. Thankfully little Beatrice has a very dedicated carer who has gone over and above for her :)

Make vet visits fun again.
There was no stressful boxed in car ride to the clinic.

For little Walter here his annual vaccination was more about curiosity play and the excitement of novelty.

I’ve been asked what’s with the head torch. Light is essential for a good physical examination. Once you’ve missed earwax or dental disease in patient due to poor lighting, you’ll never want to let it happen again.
Even in a clinic with good overhead lighting, directional lighting from a head torch gives better visualisation of deeper areas.

One of my most precious patients ever. Remy the wonderfully cared for standard poodle, who I’ve had the sincere privilege to help keep healthy and happy for as long as I can remember. Also his sister her is a loyal companion to him aswell.

Mouska, like most Siamese in winter, can be found sitting as close as possible to the nearest heater.
After his examination, he seems totally relaxed.

Being able to do consultations outside is one of the treats of mobile Vet work, sunshine in the middle of winter makes you happy you know? Dear little Chewie here looks pretty happy🐶

Some cats aren’t that fussed by the “Vet smell” of my gear when I bring it into their home... others like this little buy - simply cannot get enough of it. I had to pry him out so could get any work done..
