Monika's Doggie Rescue Welcome to the Monika's Doggie Rescue Official page. Our Rehoming number is R251000024. Dog Walking is from 11:00am - 2:00pm Tue - Sun.

Doggie Rescue is a private registered charity that has a No-Kill policy and believes in saving and re-homing as many dogs as we can from the council pounds. Dogs rescued from the pound are microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated by a veterinarian, who also gives them a basic health check and provides us with an estimate of theri age. The dogs are desexed (if required) and given any additiona

l veterinary treatment to return them to good health. All of the rescued dogs are then cared for, awaiting adoption into a permanent loving home. Once the dogs have completed 8-10 days quarantine (so we can observe them for any illnesses they may have picked up) they are then available for adoption. INGLESIDE SHELTER
Our Ingleside shelter and Doggiewood shop is open Tue – Sun from 10am – 5pm (including public holidays, Christmas & Easter). We are always closed on Mondays.

Willa is an active, happy girl. She is friendly with people and easy to handle. She can sit, shake (both paws!🐾) and drop on command. She came from the pound very underweight. She is social with other dogs and highly treat motivated and so easy to train. She has no prey drive and recovers well from sudden movements and loud unexpected noises. She is best suited to people who know the breed and understand how active they are.

Our trainer says: "A whirlwind of love and bounciness!. Once she calms, Willa is a lovely highly trainable dog. She picks up training so quickly. She needs a family committed to training her and keeping her calm. She loves kids but too bouncy for most. She suits 12+yo."

Meet bonded pair DAHLIA & DALLAS! 🌟
⭐️1 yr old male and female Basenji X Staffy
⭐️Home with garden
⭐️Suits part time workers

Dahlia and Dallas are siblings who were rescued from the pound as juveniles and have had a relatively sheltered life.

Since joining us, they’ve made some canine friends and are learning to walk on a lead. They’re very dependent on each other. ☺️

They are looking for a very rescue experienced family who have the time to let them come out of their shells and come to grips with suburban living.

Dahlia came in weighing 15.5kg and Dallas was 16.5kg.
They have smooth coats and have reached full height.

Don’t Use Fake Spider Web for Halloween! Many birds get caught and injured – even die.
This kookaburra was lucky. It was found in time and cut free.

Buddy is just the sweetest gentlest dog!
He was found tied up and overheated at the pound. He was so badly matted, he was shaved at the vets (see pic). 🥹

He put up with all this treatment and is so patient with his medicated washes and ear drops. He was in a sad state but things are looking better now for him. 🥰

He walks slowly and has some arthritis in his joints. He is getting injections and supplements to help with this.

Buddy is such a calm gentle dog. Nothing phases him and he does not need a lot of exercise.

He has a fluffy coat and weighs 42.7kg.
