Monika's Doggie Rescue Welcome to the Monika's Doggie Rescue Official page. Our Rehoming number is R251000024. Dog Walking is from 11:00am - 2:00pm Tue - Sun.

Doggie Rescue is a private registered charity that has a No-Kill policy and believes in saving and re-homing as many dogs as we can from the council pounds. Dogs rescued from the pound are microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated by a veterinarian, who also gives them a basic health check and provides us with an estimate of theri age. The dogs are desexed (if required) and given any additiona

l veterinary treatment to return them to good health. All of the rescued dogs are then cared for, awaiting adoption into a permanent loving home. Once the dogs have completed 8-10 days quarantine (so we can observe them for any illnesses they may have picked up) they are then available for adoption. INGLESIDE SHELTER
Our Ingleside shelter and Doggiewood shop is open Tue – Sun from 10am – 5pm (including public holidays, Christmas & Easter). We are always closed on Mondays.

Foster a Shelter Pup Who’s Never Known a Home
Imagine spending your whole life behind shelter walls, never knowing the comfort of a warm bed, or the love of a family. That’s the reality for some of our long-term pups like Bennet, Marlin, Elly and Fred who’ve grown up in care, overlooked again and again. Fostering gives them the chance to finally experience life beyond the kennel—to learn what it means to be safe, loved, and part of someone’s family.

Fostering saves lives. Open your heart and home, consider fostering a shelter pup. For them, it would change their entire world.

HOLLY - Foster
Our sweet Holly is being fostered by one of our vollies who has got to know her during her visits to the shelter. She will have a quiet home to unwind in and find her feet. Thankyou to everyone who has donated towards her medical costs to date 🙏🏻

FOREST - Foster
Forest is lucky to be fostered by one of our vollies and kennel hands. She has fostered for us before and her last doggie was adopted. Forest has the company of a mature staffy girl and humans around most of the time.💚

WINSTON
Winston has been adopted by someone who had a pug in the past and used to the brachycephalic issues. They hit it off together right away!💙

BONITA
Mama Bonita has been adopted by a lady who has vet nurse experience and has experience with very traumatised dogs. She currently has 2 female middle aged Chis who Bonita will now call family 🥰

PIXIE
Pixie has wormed her way into the hearts of an adult family who have had a gentle DR dog before. 💜

Gia is a beautiful girl with soulful eyes that tell a story of resilience. Life hasn’t been kind to her so far – she came from a background of severe domestic violence and suffered terribly as a puppy. Because of this, Gia can be shy and anxious, especially around loud noises and unfamiliar people. She’s particularly protective of women and children, a reflection of both her trauma and her deep loyalty to those she trusts.

Gia is looking for a special family – one that understands her past and is willing to offer her the time, patience, and love she needs to build confidence and learn that the world can be a safe place. She warms up quickly to experienced, gentle dog people and forms strong bonds when given the chance.

Despite her past, Gia has so much love to give. She adores her toys and enjoys playtime, showing off her graceful, athletic side. With the right support, she’ll thrive and blossom into a loyal, devoted companion.

Gia needs a calm, stable home – ideally with someone who has experience with anxious or rescue dogs. If you can offer her a second chance and a heart full of kindness, Gia is ready to show you how courageous and loving she truly is.

COOPER - Medical Foster
Cooper has moved into a medical foster home to enable us to proceed with his eye surgery. We are having the surgery done with a specialist and he will be recovering in a quiet home with no other pets and a quiet household.🤍

CHERRY - Foster
Cherry has a found a permanent foster family who have fostered a few staffy type dogs with us before. Cherry has been fortunate to have been in a medical foster home recovering with TPLO surgery, which she has now fully recovered from. We are very grateful for Meaghan’s help to enable her to rehabilitate in their home 🙏🏻🩷

BIGGLES
Biggles has been adopted by a lady with a female Beagle X. They got on so well immediately! Happy life biggley boy! ❤️

WATSON - Foster
Watson is being fostered by a young couple who grew up with rescue foster dogs in the UK. 💚

Cookie’s eyes and soft nature attracted her new family! Cookie will be growing up with a birman cat! 🩷
