$33 donation can make a huge difference rn

There is none to be found.
According to many long range forecasts, they'll need to wait til summer 2027.
We haven't had significant moisture since the 1 meter snow fall last winter.
Other than an occasional drop, literally a drop or 2, there's been no rain here at all since October.
To make matters worse, a vast area of Australia is in the same dire situation while some parts of the country are being inundated with rain 🙄.
Who knows why but the massive drought is barely being talked about.
While various charities operate hay runs for farmers and the govt offers some assistance to farmers, none of these can be accessed by sanctuaries.
To make things worse still, its only a month til winter.
This is a winter where there is zero feed on the ground for tens of thousands of animals in drought areas. So life will be cold and hungry and if not hand fed, animals will die.
To further complicate things there is now a huge hay shortage. This will continue as many hay growers didn't plant their paddocks due to lack of moisture.
So there will be very limited hay being grown.
Hay suppliers are saying there simply isn't enough hay to go around.
Prices are high, transport prices make getting hay worse.
There isn't a more grim outlook for the next year.
We are literally totally fu**ed without sufficient feed brought in asap.
We have a very limited opportunity to buy a big load of hay right now.
If we can raise $33 000 fast we can secure a road train of 82 big 600kg plus bales of high quality hay with feed tests from a reputablesupplier.
Its a lot but there is no option but to feed the animals at the sanctuary, or the hard reality is that they will die.
We are taking up the kind offers to use paddocks belonging to other people in other areas but there will still be a lot of animals here.
We still need to pay transport for the ones going away temporarily on agistment.
DO NOT GET ON HERE WITH YOUR GARBAGE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN BUY A ROUND BALE FOR $50. ITS JUST PLAIN STUPID AND I WILL DELETE AND BLOCK YOU.
