Hayley says, "Some Saturday inspiration!
So to make hodge 7 x 1kg meals I used:
1kg sweet potato
1 whole cauliflower
7 eggs
2 packs chicken necks
3 kgs mince
2 sardines per meal
Chia seeds, wheatgrass and kelp powder.
Hodge gets 500g for breaky and 500g for dinner. I mix all this in before I put in the fridge/ freezer for easy serving.
This is a reminder you can alternate your proteins! I love this meal base as hodge loves sweet potato and cauliflower but I didn’t have beef mince in the freezer from my latest top up of pet mince direct so I used a mix of duck, chicken and Turkey.
Use what suits your furr baby. If they enjoy the base of a meal but prefer a different protein you can mix it up 🐶
Note I forgot these packs of mince are 1kg so I used 3 which would equal 6 x 500g packs (I used the other 3 for next weeks prep! Stay tuned for some great tips!)"

Hayley says, "Last week I mentioned I forgot the meats were 1kg not 500g so I had too much meat and hadn’t planned to make an extra meats worth but I dug into the freezer and found my broccoli ends that I save for Hodges food.
Scrambeled some egg, used some extra frozen bagged veg I had, topped with tumeric, wheatgrass and kelp. Just like that I had another weeks meal made.
This would have cost about $3 per day to make.
This is your reminder to not overthink it.
Hodge won’t know he didn’t get 2 sardines everyday because I didn’t have enough.
Or will he… 🤣"
