Greyhounds As Pets Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) is a not for profit initiative coordinated by Greyhound Racing NSW They don't need a big yard (or a yard at all).

Greyhounds make fantastic pets for families, working people and the elderly. Greyhounds are: Gentle, Affectionate, Clean, Quiet, Good with other dogs (some also love cats), LOW maintenance and Long lived. They will walk well on a lead and require only 15-20 minutes exercise 1-2 times daily (just like a normal pooch). They rarely shed and have a short coat.

Monnie is a bright spark with a loving nature and magnetic personality. 🧲 There’s never a dull moment with her around!

She loves kids, gets along with greyhounds and medium-to-large dogs, and loves playing ball. 🎾 She’ll chase, retrieve and always be ready to go again!
