Greyhounds As Pets Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) is a not for profit initiative coordinated by Greyhound Racing NSW They don't need a big yard (or a yard at all).

Greyhounds make fantastic pets for families, working people and the elderly. Greyhounds are: Gentle, Affectionate, Clean, Quiet, Good with other dogs (some also love cats), LOW maintenance and Long lived. They will walk well on a lead and require only 15-20 minutes exercise 1-2 times daily (just like a normal pooch). They rarely shed and have a short coat.

🐾 We are teaming up with SASH Northern Beaches this Saturday for a special Greyhound Adoption Day. 🐾 Come meet our affectionate greyhounds looking for their loving homes, chat with the amazing SASH team, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of their world-class hospital.

In just a few hours 24x greyhounds found loving adopters! Plus 1x hound is happily off to a foster home! That’s 25x happy hounds curled up in homes tonight 🏡

Foster Care Friyay 🎉— Bud & Dave

✨ Thanks to Dave for fostering Bud and sharing this glowing update!

Bud has just turned 4 — he’s super friendly, confident, and not shy at all. He gets along great with our male greyhound, our Cavoodle, and every dog he meets — no matter their shape or size! 🐶🐾

He loves to play and will often toss his toys around the room when he’s in full play mode. 🎾

Bud also adores snuggling — whether it’s jumping up on the bed or curling on the couch with his foster mum and dad, showering them with endless licks.

Now he’s ready to find that special someone (or family) he can truly bond with. ✨
