Breed in focus: Meet Apollo, a recent guest at ouf Fido and Fido Country Retreat. Apollo is a Saint Bernard a large and powerful breed known for their gentle and patient nature, originally bred at a Swiss hospice to rescue traveler's in the Alps. They have a moderate exercise requirement and come in both short- and long-haired varieties. They are loyal, good with children, and their size and protective instincts make them excellent, non-aggressive guardians.
