Hi all,
We are low on Farmers Mate Rolls so I will be opening later tomorrow to go pick up some more straight from the factory.
For those that may have missed previous posts, due to the no truck zoning and distribution companies unwilling to apply for permits we have had a huge hit with our retail stock. Farmers Mate have been wonderful in allowing me to come grab some directly. However, this does mean I have to take time out of grooming to be able to get them. Let this be an inside to just one thing that small businesses deal with day to day, generally with things out of our control. Never did I think in industrial Spotswood that we can't receive our goods due to zoning or that distribution companies refuse to help us. 🤔

I'm a little late with this one but better late than never!
I am proud to be a finalist for the second year in a row for the West Melbourne Pet Care category of the Local Business Awards. Thank you to anyone that nominated Bath&Bone! It is heartwarming to be recognised within the chaos of day-to-day business life. I am within a group of wonderful fellow local business who I want to also congratulate. I want to acknowledge my proudest achieve which is successfully running an independent one-person business. You probably hear it all the time but running a business right now is tough, tougher than covid times. We have expenses that are well beyond what they should be, add on the level of crime we face from fake money to managing safety.. not many business owners publicly speak about it but we all deal with it. To continue to run successfully and safely within this great community of Bath&Bone and Spotswood is my greatest achievement of which my fellow local businesses should also be proud of.

Yesterday, Mayor Diana Grima and Deputy Mayor Lisa Bentley joined mayors and representatives from Brimbank, Maribyrnong, Melton and Wyndham councils to call on the state government to urgently increase police numbers in Melbourne's west.

Our city needs accessible police services backed by a strong local police presence.

Our hard-working police do a terrific job, but it is important we voice our concerns and the concerns of our communities, for these vital resources to be restored for the benefit of community safety and peace of mind.

You know when you go for a haircut and you feel itchy from all the hairs stuck to your skin, I feel like poor Dido has that on her face. I didn't notice the hair on her when I took this picture but luckily this was halfway through her groom. She was too cute to not take a picture! 📷
