Wombat is an easy going, sweet and wonderfully affectionate boy with all the charm of the iconic Aussie critter.

Meet Wombat, Male, Born 23/05/2022.

He is round, fluffy, relaxed and impossibly cute. Wombat would prefer to be the only hound in a home but could have doggie friends and visitors of any size. Wombat has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. His ideal home would have all humans nine years old or older, but he’s such a polite and lovely lad that he could join younger humans if they were used to large breeds. He can stay home alone for up to three hours, snuggling up in a dog bed like a wombat in a warren. With canine company and a routine he may handle longer stretches. Like a typical greyhound, he’s content with one or two 20 minute walks a day. Gentle strolls where he can sniff the “bush tracks” and feel the red sand under his paws.

Sweet, social, affectionate and irresistibly adorable Wombat is ready to roll into his forever home like the cutest Aussie icon you’ve ever met

⭐Special home needed ⭐

Cheshire is a gentle, sensitive boy who is looking for a home that can give him the patience and love he needs to bloom.

Meet Cheshire, Male, Born 28/03/2022.

He can be shy and unsure when meeting new people and prefers a slow introduction so he can build trust at his pace. But once he knows you, you’ll discover a truly sweet companion who enjoys affection and especially loves a good ear rub.

This lovely lad is already familiar with home life and has experience with the everyday sights and sounds of a household. He just needs the right environment to help him feel confident.

Cheshire could join doggie siblings of any size, as he is comfortable around other dogs and may benefit from a companion to help him feel more at ease. Cheshire has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. He would do best in a home with children aged 14 years or older, where everyone understands the importance of giving him a slow start and building his confidence. Cheshire can stay home alone for up to three hours and with canine company and routine, that time may extend further. Exercise is typical greyhound, one or two 20 minute walks a day are perfect. He walks well on leash and enjoys quiet outings by his humans side.

Cheshire is a special boy who will truly shine in the right home. With patience, kindness and time, he’ll reward his people with affection and a whole lot of love.

Sirius Foster Update | Little star looking for his constellation

Sirius has been making a lovely start to foster life and is showing himself to be a bright, engaging boy who is well on his way to acing many aspects of pet life.

He’s doing well as a solo dog and has comfortably been staying home alone for up to three hours, relaxing nicely into his routine after a settling in period. He’s successfully toilet trained and continues to build great habits around the home.

Out and about, Sirius is always ready for an adventure. He walks nicely on leash with polite enthusiasm to head out and explore the world. While exploring with his foster humans he has met dogs of all shapes and sizes and has proven himself to be a social boy, greeting them with friendly confidence.

Sirius is just as charming with people too , his foster human saying “You can tell he loves people and has charmed every person he’s met so far.”

At home, his playful side really shines. His foster humans have discovered that he absolutely loves soft toys, often choosing to play with them over kongs or chew toys. They describe, “Sirius is playful, energetic and curious about everything”, always keen to learn and take part in whatever is going on around him.

He’s been taking everything in his stride and, with treats and encouragement, is proving to be a fast learner who picks things up quickly.

Sirius is shaping into a well-rounded, friendly and adaptable hound, and his foster humans are confident he will settle beautifully into any home lucky enough to have him.

To set Sirius up for success, his forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Solo hound or doggie ‘siblings’ of any size
✅Lots of soft toys!
✅All humans nine years old or older

Oz Foster Update | Magical boy looking for his Emerald City

Oz is enjoying his time in foster and is bringing laughs and funny personality into the home.

Living as a solo hound, he has really shown himself to be a true people dog and a certified “terrible guard dog” who absolutely adores anyone and everyone. Visitors are his favourite and he’s always ready to soak up as much attention as possible. His foster humans share, “He’s a very gentle, loving and affectionate boy and love to be close at all times”.

Oz has proven himself to be quite the café companion too. He’s more than happy to head out and about with his humans. He enjoys trips in the car (usually) hopping straight in and hanging his head out the window, taking in all the interesting smells. On lead he walks well though he is a curious boy who likes to stop and sniff. At cafés he enjoys people watching but he can’t help being a little nosey, always keen to see what you’ve ordered and say hello to neighbouring tables.

His foster humans shared a lovely snapshot of one of his recent adventures:
“We’ve had a nice weekend with a few trips to the coffee shop at Joondalup Resort. He was very curious watching the golf buggy’s zoom around and a few kangaroos hopping across the fairway.”

At home, Oz is working on building confidence with time alone. He’s still learning this skill but is already making steady progress and beginning to settle more with consistency, routine and patience. With the right support, he’s on a great path to continuing that improvement.

Oz is a BIG foodie, always keen to try whatever is on offer, with pig’s ears sitting high on his list of favourites.

Overall, Oz is a loving, affectionate and delightfully goofy boy who thrives on connection and companionship. He the kind of hound who will happily slot himself right into the heart of the home and keep everyone smiling along the way, his foster humans summarising him as “He’s so loving and goofy. He makes us smile a lot 😊”.

To set Oz up for success, their forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Lots of café dates
✅ Humans home more often than not
✅ All humans nine years old or older

🎉 41 Greyhounds in Forever Homes | May 2026 🎉

An absolutely fantastic month with 41 hounds finding their forever homes! We can’t wait to see these hounds flourish alongside their loving new humans and ‘siblings’.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Fantastic Foster Carers! Thanks to the help of our wonderful foster carers, 10 dogs were given a leg up into pet life. These lucky dogs were Dora, Erasmus, Fergie, Makita, Miss Muffet, Piper, Remmi, Reggie, Milo, Rosie and Tiny.

😺 Feline Friends! Coco, Firefly, Horatio, Knoxville, Trek, Winifred, Zuli, Coco and Erasmus now share their homes with friends of the feline variety.

🚗Hounds going statewide! Sweet Tiny’s new home in Mount Tarcoola was well worth the 440km car ride! Similarly, Erasmus’ has found his perfect home 211km away in Mullalyup. Slightly closer to GAPWA, Reggie has settled in well 168km away near Bunbury.

🐾Pringle Pack! Capy, Coco, Zuli and Minnow have joined families that already have greyhound siblings, proving that when it comes to hounds (and pringles) one is never enough!

💕Siblings! Tiny and Milo are siblings form the same litter.
