Here’s why I love walking dogs in the rain:
1. Confidence booster 💪 — new experiences make braver dogs! Getting out in all kinds of weather helps dogs become more chill and confident — like “Yeah, I’ve seen it all, no big deal.”
2. Sniff party 👃🌧️ — Rain makes scents stronger and more exciting. Your dog’s nose will be working overtime trying to figure out all the new smells. Instant brain workout!
3. Energy burner 🔥🐕 — Skipping walks just because it’s wet? Nah. Because a bored dog stuck inside? No thanks.
- Training upgrade 🎓🦮 — Rain = distractions. If your dog can focus on you while water is falling from the sky and puddles are everywhere, they can focus anywhere.
4. Bonding time 🤝❤️ — Honestly, facing a little rain together makes you a stronger team. Plus, who doesn’t love a good adventure?

Often overlooked by dog owners is their dogs overall
confidence. Sometimes we misinterpret their fear for
excitement. Did you know that panting is a sign of distress?
But don’t worry, we’re here to help! 🆘
Here’s 5 ways you can boost overall confidence, if they have
no hesitation AMAZING you have yourself a confident dog.
If they resist or are unsure, this is a great training area for
you to further your trust and relationship by showing them
it’s OK👍
1. Ask your dog to hop up on to some playground equipment
(ofcourse only when no kids are around)
2. Is there a wall they could walk along such as in this video?
New heights can be daunting.
3. Go up and down a new staircase!! Especially the scary
ones leading to viewing platforms where you can see directly
through😱
4. Walk along a pier or jetty bonus points if they’ll hop scotch
over the rocks!
5. Have them touch a new object, such as a tree stump or
even a brick mail box!
