The Seymour Veterinary Surgery has been servicing Seymour and surrounds for more than 40 years. Servicing you with 24 hour emergency care.

Current principle vet, Dr. Andrew Hogan BVSc has been with the Seymour Veterinary Surgery since 1992, initially as an employee, then partner and now as the sole practice owner. We provide a comprehensive medical and surgical service for all pets from our premises in Anzac Avenue and a large animal service visiting properties in the local district for a wide variety of livestock. 8th of May is Do It For Dolly Day and our nurses are Going Blue to End Bullying.
Dolly Everett was 14 when she took her own life after ongoing bullying.

Oreo, Coco and Coconut came in today for their regular weigh in and nail trim. They’re such friendly Guinea Pigs and are a big favourite with Nurse Chelsea.

It hasn’t been all cats and dogs in clinic this week.
Vet Tech student Ellie was able to get an up close encounter with a young female wombat before she was dropped off to a wildlife carer.

We will be closed tomorrow for the ANZAC Day public holiday.
We pay respect to those who have served our country and commemorate those who have fallen in service.

Dr Andrew has decided that Spud is a good choice as our admin officer. She works for treats and being deaf is very quiet in the office (which makes a pleasant change 🤣) and he doesn’t get in trouble with her being chained to the desk 🤣🤣

Seymour Vet Surgery is looking for a recently qualified or studying Vet Nurse for a permanent part time role - 2-3 days per week plus 2 Saturdays a month. There will also be potential for leave cover.

We are an independently run 4 vet mixed practice with long standing and friendly clients, and a stable and friendly nursing team. Our clinic is recently renovated, has spacious waiting areas, separate dog and cat wards, 2 consult rooms, wet area and surgery room. We have Idexx blood and Sedivue machines, ultrasound, and digital x-ray and use Vision software.

The ideal candidate would be Cert IV qualified (or studying) who is friendly, has great customer service skills, is a team player, has animal handling experience and someone that is happy to learn and to pitch in wherever needed.

The role is varied and includes assisting vets with consults, nurse consults, inpatient care, reception duties, anaesthetic monitoring, plus general cleaning etc. Shifts are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm with Saturday clinic 9am-12pm
