AUSTRALIA CLINIC TOUR
Romsey, Victoria, 23-24 January 2027.
So grateful and excited to be returning to my birth country to visit everyone and their horses next year. The first clinic I am announcing is returning to Romsey, near my birth city of Melbourne, hosted by Meagan Harrison, Cathy & Pawel Cichy at Quiet Oak Park. This is a beautiful facility and I feel very lucky to get to work there.
Spots are already being reserved for this clinic, which will be a new focus and structure, not the same as the clinic I presented in April 2025.
CLASSICAL EQUITATION with an Emotional Horsemanship Lens.
Classical Equitation is timeless. Trademarked by nobody, contributed to by everyone, it aims to develop horses systematically through balance, clarity, gymnastic conditioning and refined communication between horse and rider. Straightness, self carriage, lightness and suppleness are not trends. They are universal developmental goals available to all horses and horse people.
Emotional Horsemanship teaches horse people to understand how horses feel, think and move, so horses feel safe, seen and motivated in training. This understanding, rooted in systemic empathy and practical skill, is equally timeless.
At this clinic, we will explore Classical Equitation through a horse-first framework, where the horse’s emotional and physical experience of training matters as much as performance outcomes.
Practically, we will work on:
• Collection without coercion
• Refinement without excessive leverage
• Understanding when whips are, and are not, useful
• Training safely with bits for physical development rather than control
• Building real self carriage instead of held frames
