Stanley, you’re a legend πŸ’•πŸ’•

The boy did it again, winner at the weekends Smythesdale Horse Trials πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

On saturday he started off a little on his toes in the dressage warm up with the showjumping going on behind him but in true Stanley style he worked through it and produced a lovely dressage test for 71.13%
He then showjumped well to go clear to keep his top spot 😊

We both survived a VERY chilly saturday night and was happy to see the sun out again for xc day. He started a little looky but found his rhythm for the most part to come home double clear and finish on his dressage score and earn himself a new woolen rug. A big thanks to for sponsoring the rugs.
He also won the best performed ott across the HRCAV classes and won a super prize pack thanks to πŸ₯³

Shout out to the hard working committee Smythesdale Adult Riders Club Inc. for such a great event, the volunteers, judges and all the sponsors

Big thanks to Meg Rac for the support, videos, pics and bring an awesome camping buddy as always and also to for the videos and pics. You both did amazingly on your special ponies ❀️

And lastly to my beautiful sister your long distance support never waivers, thankyou πŸ’•πŸ’•

Always a great way to spend Easter in country Vic at the Riddells Creek Pony Club Easter horse trials 🐣

Stanley was a little spooky on the Sat with the wind and an over active nervous system that day but I managed him through his dressage test for a respectable 72.1%, to sit a close second. He sj clear thankfully, as the rider had a brain fart and forgot how to ride for the last 3 πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ, moving him into 1st place.
Sunday a much more chilled boy for xc day and after he found his groove after a couple of jumps into the course, he cruised around superbly to finish clear and under time to hold the number one spot. He also finished first for the best performed ott across all the open sections πŸ₯³ Good kid Stanley!

Big thanks the Riddells creek pony club and the organizing committee, always a very well run event. All the judges, volunteers and photographers and very importantly, all the sponsors, esp Rhonda Thomson from Harney Park who sponsored the open Grade 3.

Big shout out to Danielle Louise, Meg Rac, Lisa Commadeur and Emma Jackson for the company, support, help and videos over the weekend, you’re all the best!

And of course my amazing sister Gabrielle Lieschke, always my no1 supporter ❀️❀️

I gave up a weekend of eventing at Tonimbuk over the long weekend to head to Boneo Park with both boys for the final of the ott dressage series for 2026.

It was a busy but successful weekend for us.
Denman was 5th in the 2.1 on sat (thanks to a brain fart moment from the rider πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ) and 2nd in the 2.2 with a 68.2%.
Stanley also was very close 5th in the 1.1 with a 68% and 2nd in the 1.2 with 68.6%.
Both boys finished in 3rd place for the saturdays championship

Sunday saw an extremely busy day for me. Denman was up first in the 2.2 to finish 3rd after a lovely test. Then it was a quick change over and onto Stanley for his 1.2 test, finishing 3rd and then the 1.3 to finish 2nd with a 68.9% and trserve champion gor sunday. Back for another quick change over and back on Denman for his 2.3 test. He produced another lovely test to finish 3rd and reserve champion for Sunday.
Then it was a VERY quick change to get back on Stanley for the series presentation as he secured reserve champion in the prelim section for the 2026 series with only doing one weekend of the series, clever kid πŸ’•
Denman also did super finishing a close 6th for the series

Very lucky to have these special boys in my life ❀️❀️

Big thanks to all the judges, officials and volunteers for the weekend, to Boneo Park for hosting the series across the summer and autumn dressage comps and to Off The Track for the generous prize money.

It’s a series I love to support, it’s a hike but always a well run and enjoyable event!

Looking forward to being back in 2027 πŸ₯³

The boys and I headed to werribee on the weekend for the 2025 TTT Dressage comp.
Both boys performed wonderfully, super proud of them πŸ’•
Denman was on Saturday in the lvl 2 coming home with 4th on 69% and 1st on 72.97% (may have had a error from a brain fart learning the test moment πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ), to finish reserve jackpot winner and best performed OTT for level 2 across the 3 days ❀️ Thankyou to for the rug and super prize pack!
Stanley was on Sunday in the lvl 3 and Mr consistent coming home with 3rd in both test on 72.9% and 72.76% respectively, and also reserve Jackpot winner and 3rd overall best performed OTT for level 3 πŸ’•
Big shout out to Gisborne adult riding club for running a super event, all the judges, volunteers and sponsors, without you, events can’t run.
for the treatments on us all before the event and my super team mates, , Kay Harding and .kimpton for the help, videos and company over the weekend 😊

Spring HT 2025 βœ…

Stanley did a lovely dressage albeit a little more fidgety than usual to sit 3rd by 0.3.
One unlucky rail in Sj to drop us to 7th, the rider was a little off her game after a very long week at work and forgetting my jump saddle and having to go pick it up in between my dressage and sj round, so to say I was a little flustered and tired is an understatement 🫣
He was a bit looky this time around Werribee with all the spectators out on course but we came home clear and under time Xc to finish in 5th by only 2 points!

Very happy with the young man πŸ’•πŸ’•

Big thanks to Karen Cook for meeting me half way with my jump saddle, so appreciated!!

Thanks to the hard working committee Spring Horse Trials, judges, officials and all the volunteers, what a great community the eventing scene is

Always thanks to my sponsor Emilys Massage for keeping all our bodies moving and my wonderful sister Gabrielle Lieschke, who supports from afar no matter what ❀️

Headed off to one of my fav events on Saturday,
Wasn’t sure I’d get there after getting struck down by the nasty flu going around but a dose of antibiotics I was half human again Friday and ready to have some eventing fun in the sun at Werribee with young Stanley 😍
We hadnt had the best lead up to the event with him having a disagreement with a fence early July where the fence won, then an abcess and lastly, the flu πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ so i was just happy to get there and see how we went πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜
He stepped up to 80 and his only xc school was the weekend prior at the Derby but what a superstar he was.
Produced a lovely calm accurate dressage test to score 72.78%, to sit in first place, sj clear despite the rider throwing some bad riding into the mix πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ and came home clear and under time xc, albeit not pretty to start with ( but thats just a bonus they say πŸ˜‚) to stay in first place πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Could not be prouder of the boy, stepping up a level, not the best lead in, half alive rider then to lead from start to finish, absolute superstar!!

Always such a well run event, thankyou to all volunteers, judges, committee etc.
The wonderful sponsors, esp for the sponsorship of the class, .video for our xc video and my sponsor
Thanks to Heidi Jackson Emma Jackson for the sj video πŸ’•

Looking forward to Spring in a couple of weeks
