friendsofwerribeeht event wrap up 🐴🐴

New season, new level for Stanley ☺️
FOW is one of my fav and must go event for the season. Always a well run and great course to kick off the new eventing season. Well done to the hardworking committee and course designers and builders, the Xc rode really well

I had planned to run Stanley over one more 80 before stepping him up but he schooled well at both squad days leading into Friends, i decided it was time to put out big girl/boy pants on and give the 95 a go.

Well i certainly didn’t expect the result we got but by god im stoked with my special OTT

He did a nice calm, accurate test, not his best but luckily still scored well with a 69.74% to sit a close first. He sj super clear despite the rider giving him a couple of crappy lines 🤦🏼‍♀️
Xc was going to be the test, lets just say, i didnt get much sleep the night before 🫣
I know he can be looky but I held his hand for the first half and then he found his groove and ate up the second part of the course. There were a few oh no moments but to get around clear and with just a smidge of time, I couldn’t be prouder of him!

Luckily the small time penalties didn’t impact us and we held onto first place. Still can’t believe he’s come out and won his first 95, leading from start to finish. What a way to start the season Stanley 💕💕

He also won the best performed OTT for the 95 section, so thanks to Off The Track for their ongoing event support

Now we have our first 95 done, I can’t wait for spring ht to do it all again 😁😁

Stanley, you’re a legend 💕💕

The boy did it again, winner at the weekends Smythesdale Horse Trials 🙌🏻🙌🏻

On saturday he started off a little on his toes in the dressage warm up with the showjumping going on behind him but in true Stanley style he worked through it and produced a lovely dressage test for 71.13%
He then showjumped well to go clear to keep his top spot 😊

We both survived a VERY chilly saturday night and was happy to see the sun out again for xc day. He started a little looky but found his rhythm for the most part to come home double clear and finish on his dressage score and earn himself a new woolen rug. A big thanks to for sponsoring the rugs.
He also won the best performed ott across the HRCAV classes and won a super prize pack thanks to 🥳

Shout out to the hard working committee Smythesdale Adult Riders Club Inc. for such a great event, the volunteers, judges and all the sponsors

Big thanks to Meg Rac for the support, videos, pics and bring an awesome camping buddy as always and also to for the videos and pics. You both did amazingly on your special ponies ❤️

Always a great way to spend Easter in country Vic at the Riddells Creek Pony Club Easter horse trials 🐣

Stanley was a little spooky on the Sat with the wind and an over active nervous system that day but I managed him through his dressage test for a respectable 72.1%, to sit a close second. He sj clear thankfully, as the rider had a brain fart and forgot how to ride for the last 3 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️, moving him into 1st place.
Sunday a much more chilled boy for xc day and after he found his groove after a couple of jumps into the course, he cruised around superbly to finish clear and under time to hold the number one spot. He also finished first for the best performed ott across all the open sections 🥳 Good kid Stanley!

Big thanks the Riddells creek pony club and the organizing committee, always a very well run event. All the judges, volunteers and photographers and very importantly, all the sponsors, esp Rhonda Thomson from Harney Park who sponsored the open Grade 3.

Big shout out to Danielle Louise, Meg Rac, Lisa Commadeur and Emma Jackson for the company, support, help and videos over the weekend, you’re all the best!
