A friendly reminder in regards to found strays/lost pets…
The clinic is happy to microchip scan and attempt to contact potential owners/valued clients of any found strays.
But please note that we are NOT AVAILABLE to hold stray pets at the clinic.
Unfortunately our clinic has a limited holding facility priorities for in-patients only. With our busy schedule and walk-in emergencies, our clinic's capacity is usually at its capacity!

We will continue to work close with WINC and accept all wildlife to give them the best care possible. If you find an injured native wildlife, please contact the clinic.

Please contact and visit Port Stephens Animal Refuge if you have found a lost pet. The facility is there for the community, with appropriate holding and isolation areas.
Attached are the contact details with the new facility located in MILLERS FOREST.

Thank you for your understanding 🐕 🐈

The month of March is SKIN CARE MONTH!

This month we have seen an increased number of pets experiencing irritation from grass allergies and yeast infections in their paws.
One of our recommended medicated shampoo is Malaseb.

It is highly recommended by our Veterinarians for pets suffering from mixed infections or fungal conditions. It includes:
• Chlorhexidine glycolate (2%) - fights bacteria
• Miconazole (2%) - combats fungal infections, such as Malassezia Dermatitis (yeast infection)

Malaseb is often used to fight:
✅fungal skin infections (Malassezia, ringworm)
✅Bacterial skin infections (pyoderma)
✅Allergic skin conditions where secondary infections are common

How To Use Malaseb Shampoo Correctly:

1️⃣Wet your pet's coat thoroughly with lukewarm water
2️⃣Apply the shampoo evenly, working it into rich lather
3️⃣Focus on affected areas, and cover the entire boy if prescribed
4️⃣Let it soak for 10 mins
5️⃣Rinse thoroughly to prevent irritation
6️⃣Use as often as directed by your Veterinarian, typically 2-3 times per week during treatment.

Have you used Malaseb Shampoo before? Share your experience in the comments below 🐕🐈

"Retirement is the beginning of a new adventure".

To Dr Jeff Titmarsh.
Today, after dedicating a long 48 years in service to the clinic, today is your last day working as a Vet. I can bet that 48 years ago you never thought the clinic would be as big as it is now!

The big man officially retired! After dedicating his life to the clinic, we can all say 'it's about bloody time'
Only working a few years out of college once graduating, he put his passion into a small cottage home and made a functional working clinic out of it that has serviced the Raymond Terrace Community for going on 49 years.
See the world, visit all the family and take it slow at home. You deserve the world and more ❤️

We couldn't be prouder to call you our Boss. You're a tough man who has everyone's back's. The stories, memories and events that has shaped each one of us as a team to the best we can, is because of you.

"You'll never have to ask for a day off ever again!"

We are still experiencing difficulties with our phone lines and lack of internet at the clinic, so until this is sorted out, unfortunately we are limited in phone access.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
