Port Augusta Pony Club The Port Augusta Pony Club aims to encourage young people to ride horses and to learn about and enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding.

We provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and also in the proper care of horses in a safe and inclusive environment
The Port Augusta Pony Club strives towards a fun and informative learning environment for all. We are a friendly, family-oriented club run by hard working volunteers. We have fantastic facilities and invite you to visit for a Pony Club Rally or one of our shows. FACILITIES

ort Augusta Pony Club has fully fenced grounds with ample float parking, a secure bull ring, fenced dressage arena, two large open work areas, lights on the main arena, large clubhouse including a canteen, toilet, 21 large undercover stables and 9 day stalls. RALLIES
We hold monthly rallies generally on the second Saturday of the month. Stay tuned to our page for what is happening at our awesome club! HIRE
The Port Augusta Pony Club facilities can be hired through-out the year. Port Augusta Pony Club is a well-known resting point for people travelling through Port Augusta with their horses. There is a large bullring and fenced dressage arena which provides a great opportunity for horses to walk around and stretch their legs, especially after a long journey. Hiring Costs
Stables: $15.00 per horse (you clean your yards)
$25.00 per horse (we clean your yards)
Ground Hire Fee: Contact to discuss your requirements for costings

🎯🐎 Horseback Archery Fun at Port Augusta Pony Club! 🐎🎯What a weekend! Despite the wild wind trying its best to blow us away, we had an absolute blast learning the art of horseback archery today with the wonderful Sylvia, who travelled all the way to teach us. Huge thanks to her for sharing her skills and patience (and for braving the weather with us)! It was also fantastic to welcome members from Burra Pony Club—we always love catching up and riding together. Yesterday we kicked things off with the Gear Checkers course, with keen members joining us from both Burra and Waikerie Pony Clubs. Great to see so many committed to keeping our ponies and riders safe. A special shoutout to Gemma and her family for their time and effort welding our yards—your help is so appreciated by everyone at the club. Check out some highlights from the archery fun below! 🎥👇

Before cars, tractors, and Uber Eats... warriors like the Mongols, Huns, and Samurai rode fast horses and shot arrows on the run — for survival, glory, and probably showing off to their mates.

These days, it’s a lot more fun (and less dangerous).
