Senior sweetheart Rosie took being pampered very seriously this morning. This old girl loved relaxing in the warm water so much that I had to physically lift her out when it was finished; she just wasn't ready for it to end 💜

Every once in a while, I come across a dog that reminds me why I love my job. Don't get me wrong - I love my job most days. But grooming is hard. Hard on your body, hard on your patience levels and sometimes hard on your heart.
Enter Carlos, the ex Guide Dog. This beautiful old gentleman was "too chill" in his role guiding people, so moved on to a lovely family as a support dog to their son, helping in different ways. With his calm, sweet vibe, you would be forgiven for thinking he was Eeyore in a previous life. His tail wags the whole time, during his bath, blow dry and even his nail clip. He is not phased one bit. He gently complies with everything I ask and snuggles in for some love, which just tops it off.
Thank you Carlos for working your magic on me and giving me that gentle reminder to slow down and sometimes just enjoy 💜

A quick update!

We are hoping to be back on the road from tomorrow. We still have no power or internet service at home, so I may be slow replying to messages. Please bear with me. A lot of clients also still have no power, so the working of my run is very last minute at the moment as I try to best fit everyone in and reschedule those that need it. Many appointments have been pushed back at least a few days, apologies for any inconvenience.

From one small business to another ... A huuuge thank you and shout out to Irene from Tails on Trails - dog walking and pet care who saved my bacon on the weekend, not once, but twice. Not only did she make time for my pups totally last minute but she went above and beyond; multiple home visits/walks/play times, hand feeding, a ton of messages and photo's, even some laundry and dishes 😁. As if that wasn't enough, when my tiny terror escaped the yard and got picked up by a good samaritan, Irene was straight on it and drove to collect him for me.

37 degrees at 10am 🥵 After an early start/ finish to try and beat the heat, the only way through was ice blocks for breakfast (thank you Mandy!) and a cool off in the bath!

A huge THANK YOU to all of my amazing clients for your support over the last year. We had many challenges....trailer issues, weather issues, and A LOT of sickness (🥴) .... but made over 1000 dogs look and smell pretty and we were consistently booked out for most of the year. We sadly lost some of our beautiful oldies, but made lots of new friends with your gorgeous young pups coming on board. On a personal level, I lost my best girl and struggled to manage the end of the year, but your kindness and understanding got me through. I'll never forget some of the beautiful messages I received and some of the heartfelt chats you had with me.

I can honestly say I have the absolute best clients and am so grateful for your repeat bookings and continually trusting me with your little and not so little friends 😊

I will be back on the road from Jan 7th and look forward to seeing you all in 2025. From my family to yours, lots of love and a very Happy New Year! 🥳
