Please note that Parkes Veterinary Hospital will be closing from 12pm TODAY Tuesday 1 September for the Parkes Show.

Meet our gorgeous Patient of the Week, Stella!
Stella came in to see us for her spey and was such a brave girl throughout her visit.

She is now on the road to recovery and heading home for some well-deserved cuddles and rest! We hope you recover quickly, beautiful girl!

🐾 Meet the Team – Alice 🐾

Meet Alice, one of our trainee veterinary nurses!

Although she’s relatively new to the veterinary industry, Alice has already discovered a passion for helping animals recover from challenging situations and finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey. One of her proudest moments in clinic so far has been assisting with a caesarean, and she has a special interest in reptiles, with dreams of working with snakes one day.

Outside of work, Alice enjoys spending time with her two dogs, taking them for runs, and dreaming of a future trip to Fiji.

Meet Teddy! 💙 Teddy came in today for his castration and was such a good boy throughout his visit.

🐾 Meet the Team – Phoebe 🐾

Meet Phoebe, one of our trainee veterinary nurses with a special interest in equine health!

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her barrel racing or spending time with her dogs and horses. Phoebe loves helping both animals and their owners, with one of the most rewarding parts of her role seeing pets recover and return home to their families. She is also passionate about educating new pet owners on the responsibilities and lifelong costs of pet ownership, helping ensure every animal has the best possible start.

Meet Anja, one of our dedicated Certificate IV Veterinary Nurses!

With three years of experience in the veterinary industry, Anja has a particular passion for emergency nursing and thrives on helping animals when they need it most. Outside the clinic, she fosters animals through Working Paws Australia and hopes to one day work alongside African safari wildlife.

Her compassion, dedication, and love for animals make her a valued member of the Parkes Veterinary Hospital team. Be sure to say hello to Anja next time you’re in the clinic! 💚🐶🐱

🐾 PATIENT OF THE WEEK – MEGS! 🐱💗

Meet gorgeous Megs! 🥰 She came to Parkes Veterinary Hospital to be desexed and was an absolute sweetheart throughout her stay.

After some cuddles, TLC and a cosy recovery, Meg was ready to head home! 💕🐾

🐾 Meet the Team – Sharlett 🐾

We’re excited to introduce Sharlett, one of our wonderful Veterinary nurses!

With nearly three years in the veterinary industry and a year at Parkes Veterinary Hospital, Sharlett is passionate about providing compassionate care to every patient she meets. One of her favourite moments is seeing pets reunited with their families after treatment, and she also enjoys educating owners by helping clear up common pet health myths.

When she’s not at the clinic, Sharlett is kept busy by her 9-year-old Kelpie and playing football.

🐹💙 Guinea Pigs💙🐹

We had some very cute visitors at Parkes Veterinary Hospital! 🥰

These two little guinea pigs came in for some veterinary care and, of course, gave us plenty of cuddles along the way. 🐹🩺

Guinea pigs are masters at hiding signs of illness, so regular health checks are a great way to pick up any problems early. Keep an eye out for changes in appetite, weight, behaviour or their toileting habits — even small changes can be important!
