Albany and I attended an Ambassador VIP Clinic hosted by the wonderful Katrina this weekend… and WOW. This horse continues to blow me away every single time I ask him a question. 🥹🐴

I came into this weekend with one BIG goal for myself — to be able to sit on Albany outside the safety and comfort of our home arena. Not only did we accomplish that goal, but we WALKED and TROTTED multiple times without even a hint of nerves. 🎉

Albany continued to amaze me with how quickly he picked up the exercises and the huge improvement he showed by the end of the weekend. I swear this horse has the biggest heart, and he tried so hard to give me the strength and confidence to keep Katrina Park
Thank you to Katrina for your support, guidance, and encouragement over the last 6 months to help us reach this point in our journey — and for the ongoing support you continue to give usKate Elhank you to my cheer squad — Kate, Brook, and Tash — for your support and encouragement throughout the weekend, especially when I was so nervous to get on Albany that first day.😂

And of course, my pride and joy, Albany, who never ceases to amaze me every single day. The confidence and trust he gives me is something I’ll be forever grateful for. 💕🐴

Albany took the rains (quite literally) and took us on a walk around the property. Such a clever boy☺️

Here’s what we’ve been working on — and it’s starting to show 👇

More activity through the hind end, with the pelvis driving the momentum forward.
A more balanced, consistent tempo.
Cleaner, more deliberate foot placement.
And no twisting through the hind limbs or joints.

This matters because correct movement starts from behind. When the hind end is active and straight, it allows the horse to carry weight more evenly, engage the core, and move through the body without unnecessary strain.

This work also builds muscle in the areas that support the weight of a rider, while creating consistent, reliable power from the hind end.

Less twisting = less stress on joints and soft tissue, and a stronger, more efficient way of going long term 👌🐴

This is so very true 🤍

It’s so easy to get caught up in comparing—other riders, other horses, the next level—but that’s never what this is really about.

It’s about the journey you’re on with your horse.
Taking the long road. Slowing down enough to listen.

Putting in the work without pressure, without rushing… just searching for those small 1% improvements each day.

Because in the end, that’s where the real magic is—
in the quiet progress, the trust, and the partnership you build together ✨
