Matchy matchy!! 😅😍

Monki, the British Bulldog, accompanied her sister Magic, the staffy, for her post-spey check. They came in looking so cute, wearing matching outfits... which also happened to match with their favourite nurses scrub sets!!

(Our team wears fun scrubs on Mondays and Fridays for a little variety and individual expression.)

❓What happens when your pet needs a dental, or comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment (COHAT)?

1. Dental charting - we assess each individual tooth with a probe for gingivitis, calculus, and periodontal pocketing
2. Dental scale and polish - uncovering the smooth, pearly tooth surface makes it harder for bacteria to attach to the tooth. This only lasts a few hours, however! Just like with humans, they require follow up with home care, such as tooth brushing, without which dental disease starts all over again.
3. Dental radiographs and assessment - the visible portion of the tooth is only part of the story. Seeing what's happening beneath the gums means we can spot loose, infected, fractured or resorbed teeth, and other causes of oral pain we might not otherwise know about.

Progress slowly down the list until the required action is achieved:
🐈‍⬛ Affectionate rubs against target human's legs
🐈‍⬛ A light tap on the leg of the target human, claws retracted
🐈‍⬛ A polite, but firm, tug on the trousers of the target human, claws extended (pictured). Additional vocalisation is optional.
🐈‍⬛ A tap on the leg of the target human, claws extended, and dug into the human's skin. Bonus points if the human vocalises.
🐈‍⬛ Attach the mouth to the leg of the target human, and sink teeth into flesh, with increasing levels of force. Desired effect: the human vocalises, removes their leg from your reach, and moves to the cat buffet to serve you. Reserve this action for the slowest and stupidest servants, or when you're hungry.
