We recently had the absolute privilege of welcoming residents from St Vincent’s Aged Care to our property at Mount Samson. It was such a heartwarming day that brought so much joy to the aged care residents.

This wouldn't have been possible without the support of our community – thank you!!

The day was featured on Sky Racing’s “Thoroughbreds Are Go”, hosted by the Caroline Searcy. Helping to share what an incredible community we have here ❤️

Life with Horses, based in Mount Samson, is a charity dedicated to rehabilitating injured ex-racehorses. Alongside this, we offer horse therapy, EAL (Equine-Assisted Learning), EAP (Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy), riding lessons, and community programs—all centered around our gentle, retired racehorses.

💜 Today is World IBD Day – a day close to our hearts 💜

Our founder, Kat, lives with Crohn’s Disease, and our beloved ex-racehorse Fancy was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease too. That makes this day a deeply personal one for us at LWH 🐴💚

World IBD Day is about raising awareness for Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which includes Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis – chronic conditions that affect millions of people (and even animals) around the world. The aim is to spread understanding, support ongoing research, and stand in solidarity with those who face these invisible illnesses every day.

Just like Kat & Fancy, those living with IBD show remarkable strength. Today, we honour their resilience and continue to advocate for better care, awareness, and hope. 🐎💜
