We have a very special surprise to share with you all!

Last week, we welcomed someone incredibly close to our hearts — a new addition with a deep connection to one of our beloved herd members. Meet Fancy’s Pride… and yes, the name might’ve given it away — he’s Fancy’s son! 🧡

A little about this handsome guy:
🐴 5-year-old chestnut gelding
🏇 Recently retired from racing
🌟 The sweetest soul — just like his mum!
📏 Standing at about 15.2hh — small but mighty, just like Fancy!

We’re overjoyed to bring him into our Life with Horses family and can’t wait to watch him settle into his new life off the track. Welcome home, Fancy’s Pride! 🐎❤️

And so our mission continues! We can't wait to see who the next addition is.

🐠Sea of Life aka Nemo was back at it today at SEG’s Official Dressage Day, his first dressage only day and he nailed it. He walked away with two 1st places. A massive shout out to from for all her hard work retraining him. He’s loving what he’s doing and we love watching him grow!!

If you’re looking for the perfect afternoon out for your family we’re opening the farm gates to celebrate the official birthday of all our ex-racehorses! 🎉

In the racing world, all horses in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate their birthday on August 1st, regardless of their actual birth date. It’s a tradition that helps standardise age categories for racing, and it gives us the perfect reason to throw a party for the beautiful horses who now call our sanctuary home. 🐴🎂

What to Expect:

🌿 A relaxed and family-friendly afternoon
🐎 Live horse demonstrations
🤝 Meet-and-greet with our herd of gentle ex-racehorses
📖 Hear their stories — from the racetrack to recovery
🐐 Say hello to our other friendly farm animals
🍰 Cake, celebration, and country charm!

This is a unique opportunity to connect with these magnificent animals and learn about the important work we do to rehabilitate injured ex-racehorses and give them a second chance at life beyond the track.

🎟️ How to Attend:
We're inviting guests to attend by making a donation of $30 or more at any time during August. Your support directly helps us continue our work and care for these horses.

Come along, bring the kids, enjoy some cake, and experience the magic of the horses and the serenity of the farm. We’d love to see you there!

We’re incredibly proud to share that we’ve been awarded the Grant for the fourth consecutive year!

This funding is absolutely vital to our work. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of care and rehabilitation our injured ex-racehorses need. From veterinary treatments to farrier visits and day-to-day care, this grant ensures our horses receive everything they need for a healthy and happy life beyond the track.

Being selected again this year is a powerful acknowledgment of our ongoing commitment to improving the welfare of retired racehorses. We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue this important work.
