Beelarong’s Farmgate sale will be on next Saturday 29 August, at the usual time 9.00 – 12.00. 🍋 We’re still in the middle of citrus season, so you’ll notice a common theme in many of the offerings.
👨🎁 With Father’s Day just around the corner, why not pick up some locally made goodies for a special gift?
So let's start with marmalades 🍋🍊 : Mixed Citrus lemon; Mixed Citrus with Ginger; Lime, Lemon, Orange & Mandarin; Orange; Cumquat; Sweet Pink Grapefruit; Pink Grapefruit with Ginger; Sweeter Grapefruit; Chunky, Tangy Lime, Citrus & Date; and Mixed Orange & Ginger Marmalade.
🍋 Still on the citrus theme, there’s also Preserved Lemons.
We’ve also got our Farm grown Rosella Jam and Native Raspberry & Apple Jam 🍏 as well as Strawberry Jam 🍓, Pineapple Jam 🍍, Pear & Native Raspberry Jam 🍐 and a few extra flavours.
🍋 The perennial favourites Lemon Butter and Lemon & Passionfruit Butter are always available for the early birds.
The chutney range this month is: Orange Chutney with Ginger 🍊; Green Mango & Mixed Fruit Chutney 🥭; Extra Spicy Mango Chutney 🌶️; Green Mango & Choko Chutney 🥭; Spicy Cumquat Chutney 🌶️; Mandarin Chutney 🍊; Date, Tomato & Choko Chutney 🍅; Orange, Date & Mango Chutney 🥭; Brinjal Pickle; everyone’s favourites Sweet Mustard Pickles 🥒; Tomato Relish 🍅; and the special Giardiniera 🍆 (Vegetable Pickle).
🍯 We still have jars of the local honey and the novelty honeycomb as well as some Coffee Syrup ☕, Lemon & Ginger Cordial and Grapefruit Cordial Syrup🍸.
Jams and cordials are $7 each, whilst Preserved Lemon and the Lemon Butters are $9. Cash or card is fine. 💳
🧶🎨 Whilst you’re at the Farmgate sale, check out the craft and cards available, all locally made.
🌵 There's also a range of succulents and bromeliads, plus a selection of herbs. 🌿 Spring is coming and it’s a great time to get planting!

❄️ The winter chill is here and comfort food is at front of mind. This is where we can help you with lots of delicious jams for your toast or crumpets 🍞, and chutneys to go with stews and curries. 🍛 All available at our upcoming Farmgate Sale on Saturday 25 July from 9am to noon.

🧵🃏 Apart from preserves, we also have a range of handcrafted items including locally produced cards, aprons, playing cardholders, hand towels, coathangers, bookmarks, etc., plus a few plants for your home or garden. 🌱

🍋 Because it is citrus season, we have an eclectic variety of marmalades including Chunky Orange & Ginger Marmalade 🍊, Cumquat Marmalade, Mandarin Lime & Lemon Marmalade 🍋, different combinations of Pink Grapefruit Marmalade, and Mixed Citrus Marmalade.
Also on sale are Strawberry Jam 🍓, Rosella Jam, Pineapple Jam 🍍, Starfruit & Passionfruit Jam ⭐, and Pear & Ginger Jam 🍐.
🍋 Our ever popular Lemon Butter, and Passionfruit & Lemon Butter, will be available.

Back after a break, there will be Ginger & Lemon Cordial 🍋, Coffee Syrup ☕, and Macadamia & Wattleseed Brittle. Plus we have Beelarong-grown Culinary Vanilla (pods), and local Carina Honey and Honeycomb. 🍯

After its successful introduction last month, there will be fresh supplies of Giardiniera (Italian pickled vegetables). Check out the range of savoury preserves! Think Tomato Relish 🍅 and Sweet Mustard Pickles for old-fashioned favourites.
🍛 Great with curries or any time are Brinjal Pickle, Ginger Mango & Choko Chutney 🥭, Spiced Cumquat Relish, Mandarin Chutney 🍊, Mango Choko & Date Chutney (with chillies) 🌶️, Green Mango & Mixed Fruit Chutney (with chillies) 🌶️ and Chunky Orange Date & Mango Chutney 🥭. Plus small quantities of other boutique combinations of fruits.

♻️ As always, we welcome the return of our jars, bottles and bonnets for reuse.

We are delighted to welcome back Kym for her second residency at Rosella Cottage until the 13th September!

📸 Kym Renay is a film photographer, darkroom printmaker, and long term member of Beelarong Community Farm. Her work is centred on ecological literacy, contemporary landscapes, and place identity. Enamoured by film and print development, she experiments with alternative and botanical darkroom processes, favouring the lightest footprint where possible. During this year's residency at Beelarong, Kym will be experimenting with 4x5 large format photography and botanical developmental processes. She will be offering B&W film portraits for farm members at no charge, for those who would like to take part in the project she is working on. Kym understands it is sometimes awkward having your photo taken but sees the importance of this community and will have a sign up sheet in the shed for those wanting to be a part of this project.

Kym has recently commenced studying a Master of Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art and Design and pays respect to Yuggera, Turrbal, and Quandamooka land and people.

🎉 Happy 20th Anniversary to White Lady Funerals Morningside! 🎉
We're especially grateful to their Director, Judith John, who has generously sponsored our annual Easter Egg Hunt for the past few years. Thanks to her support, every young egg hunter goes home with a special goodie bag to celebrate and make the day even more memorable.

🎨 We’re delighted to have our current Artist in Residence, Kylie from Tiny Giraffe, at the farm this Saturday during our Farmgate Sale!

Visitors will have the opportunity to view some of her beautiful creations. 🌿✨ Be sure to stop by, say hello, and enjoy seeing art inspired by life at the farm and the natural world around us.
