The first winner for the Shane Nichols & Hayden Black colours comes in the colours of loyal stable supported Matthew Sandblom with Brash Lass saluting at Seymour today.

Lachie Neindorf was on board for the 1000m dash giving the Brazen Beau filly a positive ride just sitting off the leader. She finished strong to break her maiden at just her third start.

Congratulations to Hayden who was on course today to celebrate his first win as a trainer. Well done to our entire team at Mornington.

Shane Nichols Racing is delighted to announce the official training partnership between Shane Nichols and long-time foreman, Hayden Black.

Hayden has been a valued member of the team since November 2018, playing a pivotal role in the stable’s success over the past six years. He joined the team as Stable Foreman and over the past couple of years has built strong relationships with our owners, representing the stable on race days, and travelling interstate with runners.

The partnership is both recognition and reward for Hayden’s dedication and commitment to the stable.

The first runners under the new Nichols & Black training partnership will step out in the coming days.

Torsheen broke her maiden today at just her second start with an impressive performance under Lachie Neindorf. The 3yo filly prevailed in a close finish with over 8 length separating the first two and third.

Torsheen is a full sister to Listed Hareeba winner Laverod and a half sister to Group 3 Blue Diamond Review winner De Sonic Boom which makes her a valuable filly for her breeder Mr Whitling who races her.

Her Star is rising!

Esha made it two from two with a dominant win at The Valley today under Damian Lane over 1000m. She justified the short quote, never really looking troubled throughout the run and Stakes racing now beckons.

There are plenty of options for a three-year-old filly through the Spring and a decision will be made on where to head next after a discussion with the owners.

Well done to Kia Ora Stud and their team and Matthew Sandblom who bred the filly and raced her dam, Shane Nichols’ G1 winner I Am A Star.

Shane Nichols Racing offers two mares in todays Magic Millions Virtual Sale.

Lot 10 - Zousinger is a winner of three races and is from the famed Sunlight family. By Zousain, out of a sister to Solar Charged, she’s very closely related to the Champion 3yo Filly.

Lot 11 - Beour Bay has won over $350,000 and a multiple City-winning mare. She’s been an asset to the stable and is as tough as they come.

Esha continued the build-up to her Spring preparation with a jumpout win at Caulfield following her win at the Pakenham jumpouts eight days earlier.

A winner at her only start, Esha is by Extreme Choice out of our Champion Filly I Am a Star.

There are a couple of options for her first-up run and we’re excited for the Spring ahead.

It’s a winning debut for Must Be Sain at Ballarat on the Synthetic course under Zac Spain today.

Zac gave him an excellent ride, stalking the field before going wider on the turn to avoid the kick-back and stormed down the middle of the track.

Must Be Sain closes out his juvenile season with a win and is set to build onto the result through his Classic year.

The Zousain gelding was a Magic Millions Tasmanian Sale Yearling purchase for Shane Nichols Racing and runs for a great group of owners.
