Pickle is the brave little trailblazer of the duo – first into every room, first up the cat tree, first to investigate absolutely everything. He leads the charge on all adventures, dragging his sister along for the ride until he’s finally too sleepy to continue. He’s playful, bold, and hilariously affectionate, with absolutely no concept of personal space – expect face cuddles, shoulder supervision, and loud Harley-level purring during snuggle time. Pickle adores people, especially his foster mum, and will loudly protest if she leaves a room without consulting him first. He loves toys (especially fluffy mice), food (shredded chicken and fish in jelly are top tier), and has been wonderful with children, dogs, and cats in foster care. He is also known for making a dash for open doors – there is simply too much world to see – so supervision is a must.
Olive is the thoughtful counterbalance to Pickle’s chaos. She’s sweet, gentle, and initially reserved, preferring to observe before joining in. Once she feels safe, her silly and affectionate side shines through and she becomes a total lovebug. Olive takes comfort in staying close to Pickle and may cry if she can’t see him nearby. She can do the cutest little “brave hiss” when startled, but settles beautifully with patience, consistency, and the occasional chicken mousse bribe. When comfortable, Olive loves following her foster siblings around, trilling for attention, playing gently, and cuddling on her terms – including surprise spooning or back-surfing while you sleep. Belly scratches, chin rubs, and sleepy-time cuddles are the fastest way into her heart.
Both kittens are excellent with the litter tray, playful with gentle dogs and cats, and affectionate with calm, respectful children. They do take about a week or two to fully settle into a new environment and may hide at first, but once they feel safe, the love comes fast and hard. Pickle and Olive must be adopted together, as Olive experiences separation anxiety without her brother.
