Dogs lose muscle in the hind legs first — 60% of their weight is in the front.

Build muscle for longevity. Never too late to start.

This 17yo staffy came with wobbly legs, wide hind stance, trying hard to stay steady. 2 weeks later — more steady and aligned.

This is my exact program from Sunrise .

Did your dog ever get so stiff that they can’t get up and stopped walking? 🐾

Just like us, dogs need to stretch & strengthen to prevent joint pain and injuries - especially as they get older.

As seen on Sunrise - Australia’s national breakfast TV show - hip stretch + knee stretch to improve your dog’s mobility.

60% of their body weight is in the front, so they get stiff and sore as they age. It’s better to start stretching when they’re young before they get stiff just like us!

We filmed this at the 4-legged fitness centre, CPP Paws and at Channel 7 Studios with Sebastian, my little Cavalier King Charles.

Why do dogs lose muscle as they age? 🐾
Just like us, dogs naturally lose muscle mass as they get older — what we call sarcopenia. That can make the simple things harder: getting up after a nap, climbing stairs, or enjoying their daily walk.
But ageing doesn’t mean stopping.
Gentle strengthening + balance work — like cavaletti poles, weight-shifting, and controlled step-ups — helps senior dogs maintain strength, stability, and confidence.
Because growing older shouldn’t mean giving up the things they love ❤️
Small steps today = more comfort and confidence tomorrow.

Senior dogs + infrared light = magic ✨

Yesterday 15yo Lucky suddenly wouldn’t get up. Today her mum brought her in for an infrared session and she walked straight in like she knew it was good for her ❤️

Big brother on moral support duty inside with her 🥹

We do gentle rehab for seniors at CPP Paws in Sydney - watching them feel more comfortable never gets old.
