Baloo came in as an emergency GDV a couple of weeks ago, look how bloated that stomach is! Dr Toni and Dr Jackie performed emergency surgery on the big boy and now he’s back to his usual smoochy self ☺️🤍

These 5 dachshunds were in this week for emesis due to eating fertiliser. Turns out 4 of the 5 were involved!

Gorgeous Maple has just become our first ever clinic blood donor!

When Maple came in today, Dr Nicci ran full comprehensive blood tests to ensure no underlying health issues exist, and placed a catheter. Maple was given some sedation to make her more comfortable during the procedure, then we clipped the hair and sterilely prepped the area. The blood transfusion was performed, and once complete we let Maple recover from her sedation. Afterwards she was spoilt with lots of food, treats and got her bravery award 🥹🥰

Donating blood can save a critical patients life. Without donations, we cannot provide this service to our patients that need it.

If your pet:
- Is in good health
- Is happy and relaxed at the vet
- Weighs 25kg or more
- Is between 1 year old and 8 years old
- Is up to date with all vaccinations and worming
- Has no history of receiving previous blood transfusions
Than they are the perfect candidate for donating blood!

To show our appreciation, all donors will receive:
- A full general health exam with the vet
- Comprehensive blood tests
- Tote bag with some yummy goodies inside

Meet Ziggie! A beautiful 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog 🐾
Ziggie was experiencing some lameness on her right front leg. After doing some x-rays it was determined that a 7 day course of non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and rest should do the trick! 🥰

Our first patient! Meet Dougal 💙 our very first consult here at Mandurah Emergency Vets. Dougal presented to us after his Mum noticed he was a bit wheezy and will be having some in house X-rays with our team later today to investigate the cause 🩻 🏥

What a fantastic evening celebrating our opening! 🐾

A huge thank you to our friends, family and veterinary colleagues who came along to help us mark the beginning of this exciting new chapter. It was wonderful to meet so many members of our community and share our new hospital with you.

From Monday 9am, we’ll officially be open to the public, providing 24-7 emergency veterinary care for pets across Mandurah and the surrounding areas. When your pet needs urgent care after hours, our team will be here to help.

We’re proud to be part of the Mandurah community and look forward to caring for your pets when they need us most. ❤️🐶🐱

Our doors open 9am Monday 6th July! We’ll be open 24-7, 365 days a year to provide Mandurah and the surrounding regions with after hours and emergency veterinary care. 🐶🏪🐱
