Yes they do. Great info and illustration of the difference the right sized cat should scratching can make. Endyre the base is well weighted would be my add on, or get the larger ones they can climb on. Thanks for sharing The Mobile Vet Nurse

If you’re investing in a scratching post for your cat, choose one that’s built for proper stretching and natural scratching behaviour 🐾

A good scratch pole should be sturdy, stable, and tall enough for your cat to fully stretch out while scratching — especially for larger breeds like the majestic Maine C**n. For these gentle giants, a scratching post over 1 metre tall is ideal! 😺

Well what do you know... Work has commenced on Bendigo Cattery . Builders Brock and Andrew have been marking the site ready for the plumber next week. Harry & Luna approve! So do I. This has been a long time coming.....Over 10 years ago back in Adelaide where I was living at the time, I had a dream to build a boarding cattery. Over 6 years ago I built my home here in Lockwood, Bendigo. Now for the 3-4 month build. I will share photos and videos as we progress, and let you know when the website and booking system goes live. I see it but I don't quite believe it. Cheers, Sharon

While renovating his home, Bryan Davies noticed an unused empty space underneath the staircase and decided to transform it into something special for his cat, Wyatt. Instead of leaving the area forgotten, he created a cozy little room designed entirely for his feline companion’s comfort and happiness.
With careful attention to detail, Bryan built the tiny cat room complete with custom furniture and even mounted a tablet on the wall to act as Wyatt’s personal “TV.” The screen regularly plays videos of birds and squirrels, which completely capture the curious cat’s attention for hours at a time.
Wyatt now spends long periods relaxing in his private space, quietly watching the animals on the screen as if he were observing the outside world through a window. The room has also become especially useful during colder days when he cannot safely go outside into the garden.
What started as an empty corner beneath a staircase turned into a thoughtful little world made entirely out of love, proving that even simple acts of care can make a pet’s life happier, more comfortable, and full of enrichment.
