Say hi to Sophie! One of our amazing animal attendants here at RR. 🐾

Sophie has been working in the animal industry for four years, and she has found her true passion in caring for our feline guests. As one of our predominantly kattery attendants, Sophie has a special way with the cats and is always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease during their stay with us. 🐱💕

From their morning cuddles and playtime to making sure they have everything they need, Sophie goes above and beyond to give every kitty the care and attention they deserve. She has a genuine love for what she does, and it really shows in the way she connects with each and every one of our feline guests.

When she’s not at RR, you’ll usually find Sophie with a crochet project in hand, enjoying the great outdoors on a camping trip, or spending time with her own beloved fur babies. She’s happiest when she’s surrounded by animals, nature, and a little bit of creativity!

- Why do you love working at RR?
It’s hard to pick just a few things that I love about working at Rothwell Run! We have such a great team, and getting to work with everyone’s gorgeous pets is definitely the highlight for me. I love being able to care for them, get to know their individual personalities, and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while they’re here.

- What are your favorite breeds?
Maine C***s, Burmese, and honestly… orange cats in general! 🧡🐈

Which kitty breed do you think would be the biggest gossip? British Shorthair for sure!

Let’s meet the team!🤩

Say hi to Catherine! One of our amazing receptionists here at RR.🐾

Catherine has been part of the animal industry for over 10 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the RR team. She certainly knows her stuff and uses her skills and expertise to provide the very best care for all of our pups and kitties.

No doubt, many of you have been greeted by her gorgeous smile when visiting reception! Snuggled up beside her is one of her all time favourite customers, who holds a very special place in her heart. 🥰

Outside of RR, Catherine loves spending time with her growing family and enjoys making memories together, especially on visits to the zoo and petting zoos. Catherine is about to head off on maternity leave as she prepares to welcome another little angel into her family. We’re all so excited to meet the newest little addition and wish Catherine and her family all the very best for this next exciting chapter. 💕

-Why do you love working at RR?
I love working at RR as we’re so lucky to have such awesome staff who have turned into amazing friends. Not many people can say they look forward to coming into work each day, so I feel very lucky. Of course, I love getting greeted by all the furry friends on arrival. I enjoy being able to put people’s nerves at ease when it’s their first time leaving their fur babies, as we know how hard it can be. And, of course, I love seeing all our regulars.

-What are your favorite breeds? Chihuahuas, Bernese mountain dogs, sheepadoodles, cocker spaniels. Too many to pick just one, anything tiny or fuffy! I’m also a sucker for a Burmese kitty, they’re so smoochy and lovable. 😍

-Which breed of dog do you think would help you if you fell down a hole? I’m going to say Great Dane as I could climb it like a ladder, but then I also feel they would get distracted very easily and maybe run off before saving me.
