🍫 Attention Pet Owners! 🐾

Did you know chocolate is dangerous for pets? Chocolate has a chemical called theobromine that can be toxic for pets. The darker the chocolate, the greater the risk, but milk chocolate can still cause problems if in generous amounts and depending on the size of your furry friend.

Watch out for these signs of chocolate poisoning:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Tremors
• Seizures
• Hyperactivity

🚨 Think your pets eaten chocolate? Call our clinic number on 5422 1310 or if after hours/public holiday and your animal has eaten chocolate call 5422 6909 so our after hours triage service can assess whether you need to come in to the clinic or not.

**We need to know the type of chocolate, approximate amount and the weight of your pet to help us assess the risk and best action to take.**

Don't Ignore the Itch 🐾🐶🐱

A little scratching can be normal, but persistent itching isn't something your pet should have to put up with.

If they're constantly scratching, licking their paws, rubbing their face or chewing their skin, there may be an underlying cause.

Let's get them comfortable again 🐾❤️
